Pendant lighting over sink, different from over peninsula?
Comments (2)What's the wattage of the mosaic mini pendant? I would think using the light that mimics your vent hood would probably look okay if the sink isn't too close to the peninsula, assuming the wattage is high enough of course. The only concern I would have is a pendant over me instead of over the sink area; might not give appropriate light. Is the vent working? If not, could you take it out? Or maybe doing two smaller recessed lights on either side of that vent (depending how big it is across your sink area) would work better; then you would have the light properly over the sink? Hope those thoughts are of some help......See MorePosition of Pendant Lights Over Sink
Comments (3)We put ours sort of midline - what you want to avoid is having the light positioned too far away from the wall/window so that you cast a shadow over your work area in the sink. So imagine where you want the light as you stand and wash dishes. We have a 36" Kohler Whitehaven and I initially specified two overhead lights but we ended up with one and the lighting is definitely sufficient....See Morependant light placement over sink
Comments (1)I placed mine at 12", which is right inline with the 12" uppers. It's a small 6" light with a 3'0" window. Not that it matters, but I ended up cabinets 7" from window edge, leaving me room to have 3-1/2" casing around window. Still left a few inches on each side of casing so cabinets are not right against trim....See Morependant lighting over sink
Comments (0)My kitchen has 7ft 2inch ceiling. The ceiling to the counter top is 4ft. The middle of the window is 2ft. I have been trying to figure out what size pendant lighting to put at my kitchen sink. I would like an adjustable rod. My question is the shade I don't want to go to big or to small. I am looking for some input on the size of the shade on the pendant without be too big or too small. The measurements seem a bit confusing as to how big the shades are on some specifications. Any input Thanks so much...See Moredoonie
