New door didn't match brick opening-now what?

We replaced our entry door (big unit with sidelights and overhead eliptical) but it didn't match the brick opening as we were told it would. The only reason we went with the same brand of door was because we were told the size/shape would match. The door rep made templates & came to measure 3 different times, but the eliptical window still didn't match up correctly. There's about 1 1/4" gap between the door trim and brick on the upper left side curve of the eliptical and 7/8" gap on the right side. At the very top there's less than 1/8" gap.

The old door leaked and was ruined when it was taken out so reinstalling it wasn't an option.

So what do we do now? Get a mason & have him redo the brick? We do have extra brick and mortar, but house is 12 years old so colors may have faded.

Is it possible to get any type of bronze color brick molding to fill the gap? The door people didn't think so. Can you think of any other type of "filler" for the gap? I've stopped payment on the door check till we determine what to do and how much our added costs will be.
