Wal-Mart. The ones around here are considerably nicer and have a larger selection than our Target stores.

I don't know, because I don't think I've ever been in a Target.

I have a friend who works a Target and she likes it there. They treat her well.

So I would take Target.

target, our walmart is so horrible, nasty employees, dirty store, but believe it or not the cleanest restrooms ive ever seen in a chain store..

If I really HAD to work, I would choose WalMart. Our WalMart stores are nice and clean and have a wonderful selection of exotic foods. They have everything I really could want. I have only been in two Target stores and I was NOT impressed. They didn't have anything I was looking for.

Hm. The Target near me is a SuperTarget. What makes it Super? It has a Starbucks! ;o) Seriously, it has a grocery, deli, bakery. But I say it's for the Starbucks. They alsoo have a very nice book department. So I should probably NOT work there; I'd spend my paycheck as fast as I earned it.

Our Walmart is decent, too. But no coffee shop and limited books, so I wouldn't be tempted to spend my paycheck as fast. Though the Walmart is open 24 hours, I don't want the night shift.

I worked at KMart for a few years in HS and college. I enjoyed retail, so I could work for either one.

Definitely, Target.

Target. We have one with a deli, grocery section, and Starbucks too. The closest Walmart is 110 miles away round trip. LOL

Target. I know someome who got a job at Target around the holidays just so she could shop there and get the employee discount. She was even taking orders from friends and passing along her savings. She quit right after Christmas. My husband absolutely hates Walmart.

Walmart they are turning into targets anyway. They have lost their charm with there new floorplans

Walmart. Have known people employed by both. Walmart is more flexible with hours. Plus Target has nasty bathrooms.

Target, definitely. Much cleaner, great bathrooms, much more open. I feel claustrophobic in Walmart, where everything is so crowded. I still go there once in a very great while, but I'm at Target every week.

There are no Target stores in Newfoundland so I guess it would be Walmart. I'd try to get a position in the photography department. LOL

Target....by a country mile!!! I don't even like to shop at Walmart...much be subjected to the working conditions there. I have talked to many people that have worked at Walmart and have heard terrible things from each and every one of them.

it depends on the location...
one wal mart near us is fantastic, the other isn't. the target by our house wasn't so that's why when ds2 got out of college, (and was at loose ends) told him to apply at another target few miles from us. from what he learned doing stock, he applied to a "real" job as purchasing agent...
