All About Me Quilt

Although, I haven't done my last two months as I am looking for fabric; I am wondering what the next block will be. Is anyone doing this quilt besides Red and I?

I do have to dig out my notes to see once again what I am looking for. I just need to get to a fabric store where I can find some good novelty prints. I had gone on line looking but hate to spend $4.00 postage for a half a yard of fabric.

I am also doing this quilt and have all the blocks finished so far. Anxiously waiting to see what the next block is going to be. I'm sure Red is busy with the holidays and such.

Red--I hate to do this to you, but now that the New Year is upon us, I will FINALLY have time to make my blocks, so would you mind very much repeating the specs for the blocks to date? I PROMISE to print them off this time!

Oh, my favorite flower is the zinnia. Not sure if I can find it but I did do a flower basket for a swap so maybe I can do something with that. Always on the look for your suggestions. I still have not finished the previous months but have the fabric and ideas. Have a good march everyone. Deanna

All about Me Quilt Thanks for joining in, this will be a quilt all about yourself. We will share pictures throughout the experience so that we can get to know each and everyone. Each month I will post a size and theme for each block. The creativity is up to you. You may piece, paper piece, applique embroider or anything you like, as this is about your own personality. Wouldn't it be great to leave a family legacy of your own, your children, grandchildren and down the line will know all the things you liked most. This will start September 1st this is NOT A SWAP.Please check here monthly to get the next block. the first block will be Block One-- 12"x12" block - Your favorite Quilt Block (example- mine is a flower vase) I have posted block 1 now for September so everyone can get a early start. You choose your colors it is your quilt! There will be 14 blocks and at the end I will post the Construction of the top! So who would like to join in? Red

Block One-- 12"x12" block - Your favorite Quilt Block (sept

October is to be block 2
21" long by 7" tall Your name block made anyway you wish!
This is block #2 of the all about me quilt!

Block #3 for November due at the end of november size is 21" long by 11" inches tall...
This block will be about when you as a "child" you may do it how ever you like.... example your favorite toys as a child, your best friends as a child.....something you would like to share about your childhood

Here is the block for the month of December for the all about me quilt!
This is a 12.5 block by 12.5 block finished at 12"
Of your Occupation! Example Mother, Nurse, etc....

Thanks so much--you are so kind!

I created a document in my word processing program and added the January block, so now I have a place to add the block information where I won't lose it.

Life really clotheslined me this fall and I didn't get a single block made, but now I'm excited to get started and catch up. This is a great project for the days when I want to quilt but am not inspired by any of my other UFOs.

I have the first 3 finished but have become bogged down on the 4th one. Beginning to get an idea but not there yet. Maybe Jan. will prove to be more inspirational. Jayne
