Thanks for the sink feedback. I had to make a decision today so I decided to go for a different model with the full divide. I measured my large dishes and pots and it's only one huge roasting pan that won't fit in the one that I selected. Since I only use that pan for turkey twice a year, I'll be fine. Either way, it's a big step up from my current sink. Thank you very much for the picture and the link. Unfortunately, I have a 33 inch cabinet so I had to choose a smaller sink. It's still pretty big though... MizLizzie, I never thought about how much water I'll be using. I guess I can just use the smaller side for dishes if I am only doing a few. Okay, one more decision made. :) 5 down, who knows how many more to go but I'm sure that I will be back here again for feedback.

The low divide-any divide for that matter-gives you a place to set or balance the pot or pan or platter that needs a lot of scrubbing so that you do not have to bend down towards the bottom of the sink. I use that divided portion constantly to scrub pots and pans. In my sink, its 8" higher than the bottom. It makes things a little easier on my back. However, I am getting a single bowl sink when we renovate our kitchen. I offered this explanation so people might understand what the divide does besides creating two basins. I have a 30" divided sink and each side actually holds a lot. One side even fits a drying rack. A divided sink is legit, not everyone generates a tsunami of dishes when they prepare and cook food, and the OP probably knows what she needs best.

I too could never go single bowl, and I don't care how on trend they are (at least in this forum). We recently installed a low divide, Kohler cast iron 33" Iron/Tones in a 34" cabinet. From our experience, I think a quartz or stainless steel would be an easier install in a very close to the same size cabinet. As far as the low divide, I mostly like it but would like it better if the divide were just a tad higher. I have the racks for both sides of the sink, and they provide just enough elevation that it makes the sink bowls a tad short IMO. Before I bought this I had been vacillating between this and the Kohler NeoRoc 33" Cairn sink which is a higher divide but still not all the way to the top like a true divided sink. I very, very occasionally wonder if I should have chosen that instead. 95% of the time I am very happy with the utility of the low divide.

I have a double with a low divide and it's great. When I'm filling a big pot with water, I rest it on the divide so I'm not supporting the full weight of it. The divide is low enough that I can easily rinse off a long cutting board. Big items (fridge drawers) I wash in the laundry sink (which has the added benefit of being deep enough to contain the spray as I rinse).
