If you have a small kitchen consider reminants. Big granite yards will have them.

Bianco Antico I think would look wonderful. Maybe there will be remnants to use. Please let us know what you decide. We'd love pictures.

Bianco Antico or Bianco Romano would look great. Bianco Romano is a white with gray/beige streaks and cranberry garnet spots...but you really have to look at each slab. Remnants could do it, if they were all from the same "run" of a quarry area. Virginia Mist is so beautiful, too.

donnakay2009, I forgot about the Bianco Romano that also would look great. I can't wait until my busy season is over with to look at both the Bianco Antico and the Bianco Romano as well as a few others that I fell in love with from the pictures of the kitchens posted on this wonderful forum.

I'd go with something light since the cabs are black.

I am a huge fan of virginia mist.
Bbbbbuuuuuuuttttttttt I have to agree with Desertsteph.
You don't want to be stuck in a sea of grey, black and
more grey. And you are very lucky to have black as your
cabinet color. Most granite will work. Granite is rock
and most rocks have some gray or black in them. Go for
an exotic color or someting lighter with a touch or tiny
speck of gray/black and it will work wonderfully.

Here are some ideas to think about. And for those who
voted Virginia Jet Mist. I love you all as I love Jet mist
with a passion. Lets give Nilgris some things to consider
before rushing to Jet mist. Because truthfully all would
go with her elements.

I would also probably lean toward something lighter with the dark cabinets. Remnants can be a great way to go, but you have to get lucky and find what you like in a piece (pieces) big enough for what you need. Azmelt had pictures of her/his beautiful white granite with grey accents, called Kodiak (or Splendor)

Thanks very very much for the ideas and photographs. I found three colors today which are Ivory White, Ladies Dream, and Azul Platino. These colors work with my budget, as I need 50 sq. ft. Will investigage Bianco Romano and White River. When the kitchen is complete. Pl let me know if you think the three colors make sense. Thanks.
