Did you meet anyone new this week? Yes, a new person in the neighborhood who was walking his dog.

What color are your bathroom walls?
One is something like Federal Gold and as of yesterday afternoon the other is Cherokee Tan. I still have to rehang the pictures in that one.

Do you own any clothes that still have tags on them? Nope, but I did for a few weeks until I went to Disney World.

Do you ever talk to your neighbors? Yes, a lot now that I retired.

Are you happy or depressed? Depends on what's going on. Today I'm happy, so far; maybe because I finally got that bathroom painted.:)
Do you like Sitcoms or Reality Shows? A little of both, not much of either.

What's your favorite magazine? I don't have just one favorite, but I read or buy the same ones regularly. Southern Living, Mississippi, Memphis, Birds n Bloom, Country, Country Extra, B&B Extra, Garden Gate..also Woman's Day and Family Circle fairly regularly.

Do you prefer to go the mall or order online?
Online

Does your kitchen have a dishwasher?
Do you mean an electric one? Yes, but if I didn't have that my kitchen would have me for a dishwasher.

Do you enjoy going to amusement parks?
As long as there are kids to take. I no longer care for the rides myself.

What [if anything] is bothering you right now? Personal stuff involving my dh's health and my step father's health, the price of gasoline, the thought of having to paint the kitchen.....tons of little things...

Ramdom flashing is name game when trying scare off any animal about 4 patrend need scare deer birds of pray awls hawks coyotes. Rat terror dog (Jack & Jill my greeters) and blackbirds don't pay any attention to lights. It will not work on song birds. One other thing its solar power thanks to larrygene and pinkswine for help with links. One these have range they work 100 foot radius so want work for front and back yard at same time at 79.95 there not cheap but encore roses cost more than that and small money pit in chickens I had long 4 toed stand build so could move it around.

Fran, I have that plant, you should have told me that you wanted it. I have a small baby and seeds. I think I sent some to Tracy last week. Tracy, did I send you them?? Becky, The soil that was in the photo was just very dry and I screened with a 1/2 inch screen to get out any large rocks. The pups are almost seven months old and they are brothers. They do run through my flower beds and have created a few large messes for me. I just got an electric fence to keep them out even though they are a lot better now! As far as getting them to sit for pictures. I was home from work for 3 months when I brought them home. I did what I call puppy school everyday, they are very smart and will work for food. LOL Shirley, If I had thirty beds, my beds wouldn't look like they do. I garden on about 13,000 square feet, some town owned but it is pretty much my street. I am the only house so they said I could do as I please. Denise and Becky, I have seeds for the champion pink campanula. I did a bit of research and they can be tricky to germinate but I will send you some if you want them. I have a few of the purple color too! Sassy, Thank you for the compliment on my beds! I do try. Where's Pat, Carmine and Annie???? Daniel, welcome to the petal pushers. I don't blow things up like Tracy but I have been known to hog tie someone"Tracy> in the basement. I am actually feeling much better today...perhaps seeing things a little clearer. Having just been thru the whole house selling/buying nightmare, I am really very happy to sit this one out. The house is over-priced (clearly) so its my guess its gonna sit. The guy Bill picked is already showing signs he is not all that on top of things (Yea I did chuckle about that) So I will hope for the best! I had a chat with my younger brother last night. He was asked to move in with mom 2 month ago after the first hospital stay and we are letting him live there until the house sell-at which time he should have enough money to make a new start...He was saying they already had a showing...he said he had no idea what to do so I told him about my story and again he had no idea!! Over the time it took to sell my old home I prob had no less than 100 showings and so I became a bit of an expert at it. So I told him what to do and put his mind at ease. In the meantime I have another question....Mom told me to take her irises. It was a few month ago and I said no but now that she is gone I think I would like to have some...there is a whole garden of them! So I would like to dig them up and give some to anyone who wants them but I have no idea how to do that. I mean should I do it now or wait until the house is sold?? Is it hard?? I do have a bad back so is it something I can do myself or should I get hubster to help?? Once I dig them up how should I store them until everyone gets some?? Thank you for sharing this Pam. I hope I don't offend anyone here but it used to really URK me while workin in the supermarket biz for 28 yrs, how the low income families still managed to have enough food stamps/access/snap benefits to purchase items such as large sheet cakes and party platters as well as cases upon cases of soda. I grew up very very poor. We were a family of 8 not to mention the foster children we had and there was no compensation for foster families at that time. Only dad was working and at a supermarket of all places. Still we managed to get by. God Bless her my mom would make our birthday cakes and if we had any sort of party it was usually burgers and dogs and iced tea. Keep in mind we didn't get a party every year. I got one at age 10...thats it. LOL!! Alas we didn't have a lot of cash but we did grow our own food so veggies were there in season and put up for winter. We had peach trees and plum trees and the neighbors had apples so we had good fruit too. I applaud any incentive to get folks to eat healthier and if the food stamp bonus program takes off I would be thrilled!! Please tax soda and make it non foodstampable....and while you are at it please do ramdom drug screening for anyone who recieves any of the finacial assistance programs including wic! If you have money to go out and get high, you have enough money to buy your baby milk!! Now this comes from my own personal experience and believe me I am so beyond happy I no longer have to deal with it, but there is such and attitude of entitlement amoung those who live off the system...almost a sense of pride in themselves that they can shove it in the faces of those of us who are working and supporting them. I recall one afternoon as a child where the apple neighbor stopped by and brought us 2 baskets of apples. My mom was so greatful she actually wept and in return my mom sent 2 of my brothers to the neighbors home to help rake the yard. Good foods and good exercise...no TV or video games. We were involved in sports and music and church so there really no time for foolishness or questionable activity. I can't wait to see all these programs implimented!! JMHO!! Cheers! Susie

What color are your bathroom walls? Neighbour Ken customized the white paint by adding different colour dyes so I guess it is a stoney lilac grayish colour.

Everyday, usually a couple of times a day I talk or visit with neighbours. I live in the neighbourhood I grew up in.

My house smells like a stinky sewer. City workers were working at the bottom of the street and because I am missing some sort of valve in my backup the smells always back up into my house. Blech!

Yes, I met Amanda, a new wildlife rehabber.

I live in an old RV, and the bathroom has cheap woodgrain paneling.

Yes, a pair of jeans that I will probably never be able to wear.

Do you ever talk to your neighbors?
Not if I can keep from it. I do talk to them when I run into them somewhere, but my neighbors aren't close to me, so seldom do.

Deliriously happy.

Do not like sitcoms and have just about quit watching reality shows. Have just about quit watching tv entirely.

Martha Stewart Living

I despise the "maul". I buy junk or plants from ebay, books or dvds or cds from Amazon, and I dumpster dive my clothes.

Yeah...me.

Do you enjoy going to amusement parks?
Not any more. I'd go to Disney World again, if I got the chance, but not much interest in amusement parks.

Did you meet anyone new this week? Yes...I'm in a job where I'm meeting new people all the time, but not always in person -- usually via email and/or teleconference.

What color are your bathroom walls? Downstairs bath -- tuscan yellow; upstairs master bath, redwood tongue & groove paneling in outer bath, deep persimmon walls in inner bath.

Do you own any clothes that still have tags on them? Just a few from some new clothes I just bought. I never remove tags until I KNOW I want to keep them. If they still have tags after 3-4 weeks, I return them.

Do you ever talk to your neighbors? Several times a week, different neighbors. We are friends with some, acquaintances with others, and pretty much almost never talk to the others due to proximity and schedules.

Are you happy or depressed? Generally happy with everyday life, but I sometimes get down due to relationship issues with DH.

Do you like Sitcoms or Reality Shows? I tend to like reality shows with a bit of substance where I might learn something (not just personalities), such as Top Chef or Project Runway. I also like quirky shows, whether comedy or drama -- e.g., I did enjoy Swingtown last week, and I loved Mad Men and Dirty Sexy Money -- can't wait for them to return. I also loved Hotel Babylon on BBC America -- someone on the KT mentioned it and I became totally hooked.

What's your favorite magazine? Newsweek

Do you prefer to go the mall or order online? Online mostly, but mall for something special.

Does your kitchen have a dishwasher? Oh god, yes! I wouldn't ever buy a house if I couldn't have a dishwasher. Better yet, a dishwasher with six-pack abs...lol

Do you enjoy going to amusement parks? Not that much anymore. I used to love roller coasters, but last year I didn't enjoy the Big Dipper at Santa Cruz Boardwalk nearly as much as I used to. (My sister and I used to go repeatedly through Space Mountain at Disneyland). I do love the busy, chaotic ambiance, though.

What [if anything] is bothering you right now? I'm on edge about wild/forest fire potential. Otherwise, life is pretty good right now.

Did you meet anyone new this week? Yes, the two ladies who came to clean our house from stem to stern, and did a great job!

What color are your bathroom walls? Front bath exactly matches Daltile Almond, MBR is very pale pink.

Clothes with tags on them? Yes.

Do you ever talk to your neighbors? Yes, especially when they come to pick lemons from our constantly producing trees. And we try new restaurants with our next-door neighbors.

Are you happy or depressed? Happy!

Do you like sitcoms or reality shows? Neither, except for Seinfeld.

What's your favorite magazine? New York Magazine. Also Via, from AAA. We've let everything else go, online is good enough.

Do you prefer the mall or online? Online and catalogs. But am going to our mall next weekend, as a new Sonoma-Williams and Pottery Barn just opened there.

Does your kitchen have a dishwasher? Yes.

Do you enjoy amusement parks? NO.

What (if anything) is bothering you right now? My oldest and dearest friend from Israel, whom I haven't seen in 28 years, is coming for a few days tomorrow, and I'm worried that everything won't be perfect. Got that trait from my mother. Also, our dear grandson is struggling with GERD and DS and DIL are frazzled. That is always on my mind.
