This is Bear Grass flowers. My uncle took the picture. It is a favorite of Ron's deer. :) They say the snow will be as deep as the Bear Grass flowers are tall.

Lydia, they just run all over the place. As a visitor to Antarctica, you cannot approach the wildlife closer than about 8 feet, but they don't have such restrictions and will run right over your feet to get somewhere else. The are oblivious to people really.

Vique, reasons to shoot a deer!
1. They are as tasty as they are cute. MMMM Bambi burgers.

2. They will devastate a pine tree farm in a day or so if they are not kept out. Many people would not have Xmas trees if that happens. Many people would losse a lot of income. Taking a few for food and other items is better than poisoning them as some folk do.

3. They will eat crops and flowers gardens again taking away from some persons food and income.

4. Hides of deer make the warmest boots and pants and jackets.
