Backsplash suggestions with Super White quartzite countertops

Hi All -

We just instaled our Super White quartzite countertops. Our cabinets are white shaker so I'm leaning towards a white backsplash. I thought I found the perfect one that adds a bit of texture and interest but my husband isn't crazy about it. We like the look of glass tile, maybe in the herringbone pattern but not sure if that would be too busy.

Any suggestions? I'd like to keep it on the whiter side since our counter top is mostly grey.

First, welcome to the Super White Club. It is gorgeous.

Where is the bs going? It seems that you have mostly windows. Are you talking about the part under the window, and behind the range? Or is there more that we don't see?

Personally, I like a ss sheet behind the range up to the hood, and some sort of white tile in an interesting shape. Hmmm, you know, like arabesques....lol. Well, you know I was going to say that.

Have you thought about just getting more SW run vertically and and having that be your bs?

I'd avoid the carrera because it will not match but will look liked you tried to have it match. If you don't want white, how about a pale shade of green, aqua, blue or yellow? If you want to be safer, go with a light gray. Any of those would look good with the Bertazzoni if you pick the right shade.

I don’t believe properly sealed polished quartzite is better for stains. As for etching, I believe honed stone is less noticeable. I am actually recommending honing the stone for aesthetic reasons. The effect is very soft, which translates as a warmth.

Thank you. Yes, definitely going with white. We have to make wall color choice prior to closing, so going with their white which is one shade of white I don't care for. Will be bringing in backsplash later. Just not sure what would go well with super white stone, which I love.

So is it Benjamin Moore Snowfall White on your cabinets? If so, it has a yellow undertone. The Taj Mahal slab you picked has pink undertones on my screen. I am not a paint expert, but think the yellow will make the pink look even more pink and vice versa. It might make finding a backsplash tile very difficult. Can you bring one of your cabinet doors to see how it looks next to the Taj? Also, what are your floors? Do you have a flooring sample you could bring to the slab as well?
