Well I finally made a decision regarding countertops....some of you may have seen my post regarding soapstone with laminate/thermofoil cabinets...well I went with what my heart and house was telling me and picked out a soapstone slab this past weekend...gosh that was hard and I didn't even have that many to choose from. Actually I am glad that it was a fairly limited choice.... I don't do well with diner menu's (lol). Anyway the guys there were really nice and let me take my time and I picked out a slab of Julia that had some really pretty black veining but was overall fairly "unbusy". They are coming out tomorrow morning to template...very exciting. If anyone is interested in samples from M tex (not who I used) I would be more than happy to pass them along (assuming that you are in south jersey as I really do not what to ship the samples)....do not know what I would do with them otherwise.
