Dryvit removal

I am currently getting proposals to remove the Dryvit exterior of my home and replace it with thin stone veneer and shingle. I am not making any structural changes but I am a little concerned regarding whether I need to involve an architect. The Dryvit doesn't really have moldings around windows, doors etc. I already am dealing with changes to landscaping as well as changes to entry way and rear steps and landings that work better with the thin stone veneer.

My house is only 8 years old but the Dryvit looks like crap. I can't believe people actually continue to put this stuff on.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome. I have been really impressed with the advice and shared experiences.
