Schoolhouse, yes, it is a moss rose. I've had it for quite a few years, moved it twice but it has never 'taken off' for me like some other once-bloomers that spread themselves around. It is a curiosity. I'll have to take another photo when the bud opens. Marcia

I am experimenting with using the little strip between the sidewalk and the street with a wildflower meadow patch. Here is how it looks at the moment: I inherited this lovely lily (below) from the previous owner and each year it is getting bigger and multiplying. I have no idea what its name is but it is beautiful to me!
