We are still cleaning and getting ready to paint our walls. DH and I have been chipping away at it slowly but surely. We've gotten up virtually all of the dust on the floors but I notice everytime I run my hand across a wall there seems to be more dust on it.

Our GC says just to prime it w/ two coats then paint it but I don't know if this is right.

Do we need to use a tack cloth type thing over the walls before priming?

Also we had the ceiling blown in and knocked down. It looks great. We couldn't be more pleased but we are wondering if we need to prime over the knock down? It's solid white and had the look and feel of primer.

If it makes any difference: we will be using a professional airless (?) sprayer that is being provided by our GC.
