entry-way/foyer lights in two story space ))

Hi,

My entryway is open to the second floor so I have a large expanse to cover. I'm having a difficult time finding a chandelier in the 30-35" width and height size. Does anyone have any suggestions? My style is transitional and I'm looking for something in a black or bronze finish.

It's difficult to make suggestions not knowing what you do/don't like, but lots of websites let you narrow the selections by size so you can just scroll through them. You can also narrow by finish and style This is lamps plus - 8 pages of large chandeliers. There are lots more vendors with different styles and quality to try, too.

Have you looked at Hubbardton Forge's large chandeliers? They have beautiful lighting in the craftsman/transitional style. They are pricey but not the style number or name and you can often find sales at lampsplus.com and other online lighting retailers. My dining room chandelier is from VF. Pendant lighting would look beautiful showing from the second story and dropping down to the first story like rain fall. Led bulbs do not burn out so fast and last. So...we turned our stairs 90 degrees in our remodel. In fact, the stairs were what started the whole mess. Initially our stairs were right at the front door, there was a clearance of 1/16" inch. Yes, 1/16" when the door was opened. It was nuts. When we purchased the house we knew we were going to turn the staircase. There was a clear space for it to turn into. Major surgery. But it made an enormous difference....visually and functionally.
