There have been many changes in my life since '98 or '99, when I first started posting here. I guess the most life-changing was this past November when I was diagnosed with cancer.

DH died. Six years ago, tomorrow.
So many KT'ers helped me through his cancer and last days....I thank you often at this time of the year, and will always remember your kindness.

My entire life, practically! I got a divorce, I met Joe on the internet, moved to be with him, took up photography, etc.

My DH was dignosed and treated for bladder cancer last March. Since then he's been doing very well. I understand how spouses of cancer victims feel...so helpless and powerless. Bless you all.

I retired from the university where I had worked for 21 years. Found another job. Eventually moved from CA to Iowa in October 2005. Here in Iowa I bought a house, acquired a dog and two more cats. When I first started posting here, DS lived with me and now he is still in CA and I am enjoying my empty nest.

Since 1999, I have learned so much about the lives of those who live all over this country and elswhere. From a gal who grew up and lives in the NYC metro area, it's astonishing that someone here lives 1 hour from a WalMart or a doctor, someone's nearest neighbor is located very far away through my eyes...there are probably 3 shopping malls closer to me! lol!

I've learned how the basic joys and sorrows are shared and felt the same, no matter where you are from. And you don't need to know someone well enough to have shaken their hand in order to pray for their intentions, or laugh at their jokes, or dance a happy dance at their accomplishments.

It's been a trip!

I know this b/c I had to think about over on the MH. DD#2 had twin boys in Sept. I go every 2 wks. and stay for 3 or 4 days (until I need to come home and sleep).

I feel the same way deemarie5500 does, but couldn't have written it as well as she did. Thank you all for being my friends. Vique.

I've sure learned a lot--from time-saving tips to medical info. What's so good about being here is that we're all so diverse, but so much the same in many ways. Everyone is kind and caring and I just love you all!

Since I started posting in about '99, my twin sister died in July, 2000, and people here were so wonderful and caring to me and still are. My life will never be the same without her.

Then DH had prostate cancer in 2006 and again I got such reassurance and caring from ya'll.

My DS married a wonderful woman last year and instantly gave me 3 more grandkids. She and the kids fit into my family so well it seems they've been around forever. :)

Divorced, got a new career, as a nurse.

I was RIF'd from my job, youngest DD had a baby, we have custody and we're raising a beautiful little girl. We moved my parents up here after their Florida home hit by a hurricane. Mom had a stroke last fall and I'm so glad we have them by us now. An empty nest is a long way off for us but we wouldn't give up the life we have because of our GD. I may not always post but the KT is a big part of my life.

Both of my dogs and my Father died.

I lost my son on May 5, 2006. He was my only child, and I don't think I could have survived without the support I received from family and friends...including my KT family. As others have said, the KT is a very important part of my life. God bless you all.

Since the day the KT opening was announced on the Crafts and Decoration forum and over I came, lots of things have happened. We moved from Ohio to Georgia and love it. My husband had a heart attack and open heart surgery and is doing great now. Our daughter became a grandma, making us greatgrandparents to a little boy and a little girl, and come October, number 3 greatgrandchild ( a boy) will arrive. I've hosted 3 annual Crafters Get-togethers in our home with people coming from as far away as England. The 4th will be held June 20 and I should have wall to wall people sleeping everywhere. I love it.

I got to know a bunch of the KT'ers. Really! But I also got know bunches of nice people here.

I think I can safely say I love you all.

I too, spend way too much time here, and have so enjoyed "lurking" that I have resolved to do better and join in more often. Thanks for being here. (It is also amazing how this board often answers the question I need answered, before I ask it).

Since discovering the KT...

~ I began and ended a 7-year job at a large jail facilty in California.

~ moved to North Dakota and learned what "cold" means.

~ diagnosed with Type II diabetes.

~ And the greatest event...I got HARRY!

Harry and the KT; I couldn't get through my days without either.

I couldn't have stated it any better than Deemarie.

My biggest change would be the horses. Buying Cheyanne and losing her last June, and then raising her colt from 5 weeks on. Oh boy...not knowing if he was ever going to eat and survive was a horrible thing to go through. I wanted to just grieve for my mare and there was this baby who did not want milk in any shape or form.
I really thought he was going to die too. He is a big boy now and a total joy.
Then I added pretty Belle with all her quirks, who is getting better every day (well most days).
My life revolves around horses again - something that has not happened since I was a teen.
