Moni: daylily buds are great too. I try to keep away from nibbling on the flowers all over garden,
but it's hard to resist sometimes :o)

I haven't seen Indian Pipes in years! They grow on property we used to camp on. And I've never seen morels at all. But I've looked!

I know........I'm getting boring with these irises. Too bad. :-)

Yes they are, and they are pretty to look at as well, in your salad. ;)

Just eat the pedals, not the stamen. Different colors do taste different.

Socks: yes, that's what we meant.
You could eat the buds completly and the only part I would avoid on the open bloom is anthers.
Just not the fan of being smeared with colorful pollen all over me.
Otherwise... choose your flavor and eat.

My first daylillies (stella)opened yesterday. When I lookied at them, I must admit I was thinking "Yummy!"
