My neighbor's Norway Maples (invasive species) deposited more seeds this year than in the previous 5 years. Rather than trying to pull them in the lawn, I spray a selective herbicide. In the flower beds and veggie garden, I use a long digging tool to get them out. Sculpture of the Sardona Dance in Mirador Park, Barcelona.

Gazania, I didn't know anything about Richard Teague before you just told us, but I looked him up and he was an extraordinary guy! So interesting and a subject I know absolutely nothing about. It's funny how something like a car, an everyday item, could have such an interesting and crazy kind of existence. I don't think I will look at another car in the same way ever again. Of course I knew people designed cars, but I never knew what all went into that process. Fascinating. And to think your cute little Pacer started it all for me. Love these pictures!! I tried to turn a picture of my horse, Teddy, upside down but I couldn't make it stay that way!!

So here is a picture of my cat, Rocket. Not upside down.

This is Midnight. That's my foot. She was never more than an inch away. She was afraid she was being left behind. Her owner was moving out of my rental. She followed me everywhere, I was her backup plan. :0)

murraysmom, Your Rocket is so cute! I can tell that he has sweet eyes. :) My nut-so actually was upside down, btw:

nicole, awwwwww.... poor Midnight! I need to know... is she staying with you? My mom adopted ChooChoo -- same as Midnight, he was an all-black cat that was abandoned when a neighboring renter moved away. ChooChoo always had an eating problem.... I thought it was because he had been left abandoned and starving by his original owner... under my mom's care he ended up winning the "fat cat" contest at the local Humane Society and had a half-page color photo of himself in the city's newspaper. He required a special scale at whopping 32 pounds. He had a 26" waist and at the time he could have fit into my jeans. sigh.

party.....the owner offered to give her to me. I explained that outdoor cats are "food' for the eagles, hawks, bear, Mtn. lion....he kept her.

Then I saw a CL ad for a male, 7yr old declawed, neutered black indoor cat, found as a stray, that needed to be the only pet. Said he was VERY territorial. We don't have any other pets. He was 5lbs, greasy and afraid of people, would shake violently when we approached him.

It's been 7 months now. He's a normal...happy...fat(10lbs 11oz, he's doubled his weight)...cat! :0) He did BTW attack a fox while being walked on his leash....but we were warned.... :0)

Party.....we "are" worried he's getting fat!
Here's another pic where you can see the white dot on his chest, he also has one on his belly. Makes him a little unique over just a solid black....:0)

awwww, nicole, your big boy is beautiful! the white sets off his face nicely.

moni, that's a great shot of you! love the creativity of the yard art! Not sure I'd like mowing around it though. lol!
