A part of the shopping experience in Labadee, Haiti. This is a 'private' spot where Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruise ships stop.

Boats and buildings:

On my recent trip to Ohio, I stopped briefly at the Ohio River across from Cincinnati.

I also found and scanned in a picture I took decades ago of the river when it was frozen enough that people could walk across it.

A slightly earlier picture show a line of people crossing the river, and the one right before this shows a large barge coming up the river busting through the ice.

Here is one to keep you cool. Glacier Bay, Alaska. Was just there a couple of weeks ago.

Mendenhall Glacier, Alaska

I was in Alaska so many years ago, cameras were still in the Polaroid fad.

Mendenhall was great, we canoed down the river. We saw lots of wildlife from that vantage point.

I was never at Glacier Bay, but Hubbard Glacier is similar (I have heard). One of the interesting things is how cold it gets when you get close to the glacier. The cold air flows off the ice; not only is it cold - it is somewhat windy, too.

I could be packed and ready to go back to Alaska in 15 minutes!

We did light painting. So we light up an object and blend it with just the shot of the stars.......so it's taking time to process them all. My shots were mostly out of focus.....it's hard to tell when looking through a camera viewer....at night. :0) DH got some GREAT ones(he shot with his wide angle lens & full frame camera). I'll post more as we get them processed.
