Awww, cute little toad. My friend is deathly afraid of "hop toads" as she calls them. I used to handle them as a kid.

Not a toad but close to the same habitat.

When Casey_NFLD was visiting a few months ago I took her to a local wildlife sanctuary I like to visit. This is what one of the ponds looked like that day.

I was back there Wed evening. The pond now has water in it and is brimming with activity.

Ah Jodi I remember that well!! I loved the pond with no water in it because the mud looked so cool. It never gets dry enough around here to make ponds dry up like that, so it was very different for me to see.
