Transferring the harbor pilot.

You can't really see the action, but there is a man jumping from our ship onto the pilot boat as we leave the harbor. He jumps and grabs the netting on the contraption that spans the bow.

You can see by the waves around the pilot boat, that both vessels are moving. Freaked me out the first time I watched this.

Not Constantinople? :-)

I will be posting more pilot and harbor assist boats as time goes on. I have enough photos for 2,566 more days. :-)

A waxwing, we usually see these guys in the fall when they come to eat mountain ash berries but he was here today eating something in the spruce tree.
