Not a very good picture...taken through the window and it is pouring down rain. A dozen goldfinches...we are over run with them this year.

Wow, Nicole, your husband has outdone himself! I got this old rose 36 years ago from an elderly woman who remembered it from her childhood. I still haven't identified it, but I'm going to take some closeups and put the wizards on the Antique Roses forum to work.

Dee, that photo was taken by an Olympus C-740 Ultra-Zoom digital camera. It has 10x zoom and is about five years old. I dropped and broke the one I used to take that photo so I went out and bought the next model Olympus, this time with 18x zoom. Was not at all happy with the quality photos it took in Alaska this March so I bought another (used) C-740 on eBay for $70 including shipping. Jodi-

This rose has been blooming in my garden for the past 10 years, always a violet color...this year...it's red! Rats...gone back to it's grafting. :0)
