Jem! Thank you. I was already thinking of sharing this before reading your post. Conversation with my 16-year old today: "How come you agreed to this?" he asks. Raised eyebrow. "I know why people celebrate Mothers' Day. Why are you agreeing to do it?" he amplifies. "Because of the size of babies' noses," I reply without thinking. He raises his eyebrows. I can tell he's already starting to regret the conversation and I have to stand by my remark now lol. "Well," I explain. "They're really very small, babies' noses; very easy to pinch and it will probably only take a few minutes. Next time your mother p*sses you off, think about that for a moment." It's conversations like this that I enjoy most about motherhood. Thank your mothers today! lol Pagan

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Love the idea of wearing hats to church, Linda! Sounds as if you've have a very productive weekend. I'm excited to hear about your Simply Sixteen, as I hope to acquire one in the future. Be sure to keep us posted with a review once you get the hang of it! I've spent the last couple weeks finishing up my den remodel with moving in furniture, and rearranging furniture in other rooms. My sewing room is still in the dining room for now. With the oldest home from college, I have more muscle to move big furniture around. We have guests visiting mid-week & staying 3 nights, so my Mother's Day gift is the boys & girl mowing the yard and having the house 'company clean' by tomorrow evening. Much better than burnt toast & runny eggs from when my Littles were little! :) We're off to church, and then to visit my MIL for a bit this afternoon. Enjoy your day, y'all!

Happy Mother's Day to all! I wish I could quote him exactly, but our minister said something along the lines this morning of recognizing the countless ways that women "mother", whether they are sisters, aunts, daughters, wives, friends, or yes, moms. As one who has no biological children, that really spoke to me and made me feel truly included. I hope each of you has felt the love of those that you "mother" today as well.

Caflowerluver, Your bouquet is so colorful and unique - truly one of a kind. As a color nut with a garden some might find a bit loud, I can appreciate the wild side. :) I received a white bouquet from my children today, who said that the classic white was just what was needed, since I have all sorts of colors except pure white. In my world, ORA and Eden pass as white. :) So the children got me this one today for my eyes to have something to rest on. I loved it.
