Camp Pendleton Mud Run

I walked the Camp Pendleton (California) Mud Run on Saturday. It was good dirty fun, and yes, a challenge. It's a 10k (6.2 miles). It has loads of hills, mud pits to crawl through, walls to jump over, fire hoses aimed at you, a lake to tromp across, big pipes to crawl through, and the dreaded Slippery Slope, a tall steep hill with water running down it. Then it's on to very cold, very public showers. The changing tent was so crowded and hot that I changed in a forty yarder that happened to be nearby. Luckily, I'm a garden junker and felt right at home there, lol. DS came in in 56 minutes, DD in 1hr. 10min, I was a distant third with 1hr 45 min. This is the third one we've done together, and we'll do it again in October.

If anyone here likes this kind of thing, just Google Camp Pendleton Mud Run and you'll find sign up info. October has been sold out for awhile, but next June is right around the corner. It's near Oceanside, CA. Linda
