Hey, congrats! This was a really fun block to make and we had enough participation that you have a great start on even a full sized bed quilt! It looks like Vicky has a good start toward a lot of participants in the August Lotto. If anyone hasn't joined one, and is a little hesitant......it's very addicting and fun. I really appreciate being able to 'test drive' patterns before deciding if I want to commit to a full-sized quilt and this gives me the chance. I did make a Brasstown Star quilt after that lotto, because I did learn a new technique and was impressed with how pretty the pattern turned out in real life. Yes, please share with us what you plan to do with it!

Magothyrivergirl, you lovely blocks came today. I can't believe how easily you've transitioned from sewing sails for boats to quilt squares. LOL. Odessa, I'll gladly send you some veggies if you win this month's lotto. I can't tell you in what condition they'll arrive, however. I was up at daybreak hoeing weeds, and chasing rabbits out of the garden. I don't know how one got in last night past the electric fence, but the new cabbage plants have been attacked. My husband got 'bit' by the fence yesterday, so I know it's working. Micyrey, your first blocks were beautiful. If I'd have won them, they'd be put right along with the rest in a quilt. I think they'd have been fine, given the leeway of the fabrics, perhaps as a center interest. I'm really excited by the cache so far. This is for sure going to be on my agenda for a quilt as soon as I finish up my UFOs.

Robbi, I know exactly where you're coming from! I had the bulk of the year done way ahead, then would let the month slip almost by & not get them mailed!! :( I presently have 4 envies on the counter waiting to hit the PO - but w/kids (& sick ones some days) I can't seem to get there before they close! My goal is today as soon as the last one leaves, hopefully by 3:30. Keeping my fingers crossed!! ~Cindy
