That's good news! Thanks so much for the update! I agree that I'd probably look for another doctor. When DH had his problems a few years back, we were driving two hours to see a rheumy every six weeks. All he did was shake his head and write DH a prescription for yet more drugs and tell him to come back in another six weeks. DH had been off work for many months, his disability (through work) was running out, and he really wanted to go back to work. We finally drove to Mayo and spent two weeks. Cost us a bundle, but DH was back to work within a month. Continued prayers for Alex.

St. Jude's is such a blessing to so many people. Glad little Alex is getting such good care. Mom surely will have her hands full, so my special thoughts and prayers are going for her.

Another update.Hope everyone isn't tired of hearing about this.Talked to friend just a bit ago.As I said earlier they are going about as normally as they can with Alex.They had put a bed in the guest room for mom and Alex because she wasn't able to lift him out of the crib.They said he was very agitated in that room so they moved the bed to his playroom and he has been very calm ever since.They can tell when he isn't happy.Today he opened one eye and looked at mom when she picked him up and did it again when his daddy picked him up.He is moving his legs and feet and reacts when he is touched or moved or picked up and held.We all know that all of this could mean nothing,that it could be just involuntary reflex or it could mean that he is actually aware of what is going on around him and able to react.We just have to believe that God has a plan for this little one! Another thing I need to clear up.I said in the first post about Alex that he was taken to the ER and sent home but it wasn't the ER.They took him on Friday (after Thanksgiving) to his regular pediatrician and he was the one who said he was probably just getting a cold or virus and sent him home.They called this same doctor several times over the weekend telling him what was going on with Alex and were told not to worry and if he wasn't better by Monday to bring him in.They took him back to same doctor Monday morning and he was the one who called the ambulance to his office to transport him to the hospital.Someone asked earlier where they live.They live in Wichita Falls,TX.
