How do I leave feedback on Etsy?

I made my first Etsy purchase this week. I've been looking for a small stone heart pendant for my daughter, to replace the too-large one I gave her a couple of years ago. I've been watching eBay to no avail, and tried other jewelry sources. Then I remembered reading about Etsy at the KT. After much poking around, I found this. It arrived today, and I love it!

I'd like to leave good feedback for the seller, but I can't figure out how it's done. Can someone help?

Hi Susan, I haven't used Esty before but I've been thinking of selling some vintage things on there so I just went and checked it out. Here is what I found. Apparently you should have a Your Esty area. There should be a list of things like favorites, purchases and the feedback will be in that list. Click on it and it takes you to Rate your Transaction and go from there. Hope this helps. That is a cute heart. Good luck.

Yes, just go to Etsy, login or sign in, upper right corner and then click on My Etsy. It should give you a prompt for the one feedback you need to leave.

That's a lovely heart pendant! And be sure to check Etsy frequently- there is a lot of talent there.

There are two methods to send leaves. The easiest is not to wrap it at all, just put it in a plastic bag and blow in the bag so the plastic doesn't touch the leaf which may cause rotting. This is good for short distances. The other method is as stated above: wet a bit of Kleenex put it on the end of the leaf and cover with Handi-wrap to keep it secure. Place in bag and blow air to keep plastic from rotting leaf. Leaves may also be taped onto styrofoam meat container trays, the small ones. (Leaf ends may be wrapped or not) Then the whole thing can be placed in a plastic sack and sent. Nancy

oh, aurorawa you're just special. thanks all for the feedback. i'm hopeful. i always thought a lot of light was optimal. mine gets west facing light (bright!) and some of the plants get maybe 2 hours of direct sun in the afternoon. i thought they'd all like it. pubicalyx has tripled in size since i bought her a few months ago. and the rotundiflora stopped dropping leaves since being moved closer to the window where she gets a couple of hours of direct sun. a few of those leaves have lightened (light/yellow spots) i've noticed, but they haven't aborted or dropped. i guess i got bummed when i saw rareflora's clandestina a couple of weeks ago that had such big, juicy leaves. i'm gonna try to be more patient with clandy and pottsii.

I don't know much about the psychology of advertising, but I'll offer a suggestion to consider...People like to imagine a product on them. And we don't have gray necks. I think that if you could find a "model" (friend, neighbor, kid) with a fabulous neck (fabulous to me means long and wrinkle free---so unlike my own!), perhaps photoshop onto a blurry meadow-y background...maybe add a piece of chiffon and have a fan off camera..you know the effect, I'm sure. Anyway, that would sell me because I would want to be that neck in that meadow :) A bit like this, but your fabulous necklaces instead of whatever she has...

I've bought three English watercolors off of eBay this year. Two from England and one from the U.S. Two are approx. 100 years old and one is 26 years old. The 26 year old watercolor is by an English artist named Lesley Holmes. I first learned about her in a Victoria magazine article from the 90's. I kept that article. I decided to check on eBay and found one of her paintings listed. I made an offer which was accepted and I bought it. I went on to buy two other English watercolors, both seacapes. I've also bought three Scottish Caithness paperweights off of eBay. And I've bought a couple of Talbots blouses off of eBay and some jewelry. i've bought used books off of eBay. One was out of print and the others were fiction books that I didn't plan to keep and didn't need a new copy. I do try to buy books that are listed in "very good" condition. I've bought a few things from Poshmark, too. Mostly jewelry. My first Poshmark experience was bad. The girl never shipped the bracelet despite emails telling me that she shipped it. Poshmark actually canceled the order before I did. I have found that some people list an item on both eBay and Poshmark. It is sometimes cheaper on eBay because the seller can set the shipping price whereas on Poshmark I think they are tied in to Poshmark's shipping price.

I've been buying quite a few things from Etsy. I really like it! Most sellers will make custom items too.

I have a question. I've been leaving feedback, but the sellers don't/can't leave feedback for me? Like they do on eBay?

Beautiful pendant, I'm sure she'll love it. I've made a few purchases on Etsy and I've been happy with all of them. I bought a really neat pair of cuff links for my son. They're the mechanism from old watches with jewel movements - the prices really vary so we keep checking until we found one in our price range. When he wears them he always gets compliments.

The pendant is beautiful.

Lots of nice things to be found on etsy. My niece Meagen is selling some of her photos on etsy. I think her store is called Urban Pink Design.

I've seen the cufflinks before - they are really neat. I think they were coming up on the main page for awhile which is where I saw them.

I think the customer appreciation photo is one of you using or wearing the item you bought.

Last October I spent a week in Boston and while my husband was in seminars all day I was free to roam the city and that's where I find them in an antique store for over $200. Not at all tempting at that price. When I told my daughter she alerted me to "steampunk" which is a fascinating mix of Victorian, vintage, punk, industrial design, fantasy, romance etc. If you search on Etsy under steampunk you'll find some really interesting pieces.
