subfloor over concrete question

We have installed a platon subfloor with 3/4 inch XPS, and 3/4 inch OSB nailed into our concrete slab on grade home. My question has to do with the gap between the platon and the adjacent walls.

We are experienceing cold and musty air coming from underneath the subfloor through these little cracks- sometimes smelly air. Our slab did not have moisture problems prior to the platon installation.

Platon installation instructions say just to butt the platon edge against the walls, Delta installation says to seal that joint with low expanding foam. Reading in the basement forums all over the web, these products are treated interchangeably, but installed with very different "systems" in mind. Platon wants to create air exchange under the "vapor barrier" and Delta wants to have a complete air and vapor barrier between the concrete and the above living space.

For those of you who have used either of these products, or have some knowledge of the way they are intended to work, how did you install it, and is it working for you? do you think there is a superior method, with a superior result?
