I like 2, 3, and 4 --- in that order. Maybe you can find similar styles in a more neutral color or colors?

I like #1 and #5. No. 1 wouldn't look like a nightgown when you have a necklace and earrings on. I don't think it does, anyway. I think #5 would be very dressy and would look nice with a dressy blouse and I was thinking a print blouse of some kind, but then you have the problem of how it would look with a corsage.

This is a no-brainer for me! LOL I like #5! They look just like the pants that I saw at the Dress Barn. They look soooo comfy too!

I do not like #1 especially if you are shorter like me. It looks like a PJ to me too. I love # 4 and 5. I had an outfit like #4 and received many compliments on it. Comfy too!

I like dress #4 (although I could never wear it - I need a waistline cause I am hippy) and the wide pants #5.

Picture #5 and #2 (in that order). I would need to see what they look like on you "in real life" before making a firm decision, though.

Nicole this is what they have paired with the pants....I'm leaning towards this, but still looking for another color...I'd love to have it in a brown tone. If not I'll wear black.

Here it is in black....with another top...I need to cover my arms so this won't work for me, but there are so many nice tops to wear with these pants. I don't want my bat wings to show LOL!

The black pants are the exact ones I have. I think I got them at Dress Barn. I love them - very comfortable and I've paired them with several different tops for a dressy occassion. Red sequened tank, an ivory top with an empire waste, etc.

You can't go wrong!

#5. My how things have changed. I remember back in the "olden days" (early 60s) when one didn't wear black to weddings. Now it is such a popular color for bridesmaids. I had a friend who got married in 1962 and her mom and I were so upset because we didn't care for the groom. Her mom kept threatening to wear black to the wedding. Turned out we were right, the groom was evil.

I just ordered the black pants...they are back ordered until next month and they were only 17.99 with my coupon! I will keep them anyway even if I don't wear them for the wedding just to have them. At that price I can't go wrong...ordered them in black. I have alot of black, seems to be all I wear when dressing up! I am going to keep looking for the right dress or pant suit...maybe a top to go with the pants...it's a start!

Is it early fall or late fall? Some might look a little too summery if it's November.

I'm only 5'2" and wore #1 this past weekend for our daughter's wedding. I got so many compliments on the outfit and it was comfortable.

I do love the other outfits, though.

I really like #4 in the solid pink. Wish I had someplace fancy to go to--I'd ask you for the manufacturer. LOL!

The wedding is October 18th at 4:00 pm.....I'm not worried about the weather, it's still pretty warm that time of the year here. Just the color!

Thanks for the info. I have to comment on the colors though. I'm old enough to remember when nobody would think of wearing all black to a wedding. Nor would they wear all white,ivory if the bride was or an ALL red outfit.LOL

I do think in some circles it could still be construed as inappropriate for a female relative to wear all black to a wedding especially if they are to be in wedding photos.

Not so much these days but I would take the customs of the bride and grooms family into consideration.

I think black pants or skirt with a top of a different shade are fine. Just not black head to toe.

I was thinking the same thing....only because of the time of year. I love black and wear it to every special occasion just about, at least my pants are always black. But I would like to add some color to at a wedding. I got these black pants mainly to have in case I ever need them LOL....for the price I hated to pass them up! If I can find the right top in a pretty color I'd wear them at the wedding. I am going to keep looking for something more appropriate in color. I'd love to find a pretty color top to go with these though...IF they fit right! DH seems to think they look like harum pants and are not right for me! LOL...hope I can prove him wrong...I like them!

I agree...call me old fashioned...but I'm just not into wearing black to a wedding-- especially if you're one of the moms. And, what colors are the bridemaids wearing? I think the moms are supposed to coordinate to that. The Mother of the Bride generally gets to pick her color first and then the Mother of the Groom coordinates her dress to the bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride's. Obviously, it's not set in stone, and you get to pick what you want to wear, but I think it would be nice to run your ideas and colors pass the others just in case they really get into coordinating everything.

If you want to do a pants suit, I really like the first one monablair posted. And, I like #6 (the last one) on your list too although I'd like to see a closeup and it in a different color -- maybe hunter green or beige.

The bridesmaids are wearing brown...and that's another reason I wanted a shade of brown...or at least and earth tone color. I don't want to stand out like a sore thumb, I'd rather fade into the background LOL! I found another pant suit I think would work. DIL to be is so easy going and sweet, she says anything I want is fine with her. I need to wear dark....it makes me appear slimmer! LOL...I need all the help I can get. Here's the other one I have my eye on...it's navy blue. It looks like it would work for me too.....it's not brown, but that's ok.

Ooohhh! I love that navy outfit. I'm short, too, so I tend to go more tailored. I'm also big in the middle area and like the longer jacket. That outfit looks really classy and you could wear the pieces with different things.

I think black is fine anyplace, anytime these days. About the only place I haven't seen it lately is funerals, for some reason.

I'm short and thicker in the middle too Patti! That's what I liked about this suit....the jacket is long. I just ordered it this morning. I figure I can send it back if I don't like it. I thought it looked appropriate though!

I love the style of #2, especially if you could find something like that in a fall color. How about a medium-dark sage color? Number 4 looks like a maternity dress to me! Or at least that's how it would look on me.
