BM Hale Navy?

Has anyone here used BM Hale Navy paint? I'm looking for a rich, but not bright, dark blue for my guest room bath. Vanity, countertop, sink, toilet, bathtub tile, and trim are all white.

Hale Navy is a Pottery Barn color this spring and shown on the BM website with light/medium green. I have just redecorated the guest room with a PB blues/greens/ivory duvet, white shutters at the windows, and dark blue accessories. Walls in that room are already painted in Ralph Lauren Suede in a medium green which goes perfectly with the duvet, so no reason to repaint the bedroom. I thought the navy and white bathroom might be striking with towels and accessories in the green from the bedroom.

Would love to know how someone who used Hale Navy liked it and of course will do sample boards first. Comments welcomed.

I haven't tried it, but there was a recent thread about navy where Hale Navy was the winner.

Yes! We just used it for our hall bath (which will primarily be used by my son) and we love it! It's dark but rich and not too dark - def navy. We did a bead board halfway up the wall to lighten it a bit. I have no idea how to post photos, but I can email you one if you want.

Yes...photos would help. It seems something like Simply White or White Dove would be good. I know someone who painted a small bedroom and bath navy. I was skeptical when she first told me, but the result was stunning. She did the trim and ceilings in white...so nice!

I like white…my 70’s downsize is white with black Anderson 400 series. I used B.M super white on exterior. My house faces North, yours East, but not a lot of light…don’t do white dove…it will look grayish and cold.

Thanks. I appreciate all of this although I'm less worried about the bedding right now, as I do think our comforter will look good with the navy (although we might be changing up the bedding down the line at some point anyway). We have to pick paint colors asap due to some compilations in other construction so I'm trying to figure out which white to do on the other walls if we only do the wall behind the bed in hale navy. We will probably keep the trim Simply White but need a wall color that goes well with the navy! Looking for a warm white, I think. Thank you!

Since it’s the only color in the room right now, and next to a much darker room, it’s amplified. With furniture and art on the walls, etc, it will calm down a lot.

dvarell, just open a pic sharing acount (flikr, photobucket, etc) or use tinypic.com (good for a one time thing, not if you want to use the pic again later, though). Upload the photo to the account, check "public" in the settings, and click on share. Then copy and paste the html code into the message here. I usually use the medium size.

Bless you, dvarnell. Not only have you used Hale Navy, but in a hall bath which is where I will put it. There is a guest room off this bath, but it mainly serves as a powder room 99.99% of the time. It is windowless, but I like dark intense colors and have dark red paint in there now with no problem. I'd rather have rich and deep than a too bright color. I'm going to get a color sample at BM tomorrow amd can't wait.

I have no problem giving you my email address if you can't post a picture, but not sure if there is any way to do that without posting it right here in the forum.
