I didn't get to watch it either...I wish you had said it was a "spoiler"...I was going to watch it online tomorrow

Just meandered on in here and saw this thread. I wanted to know what to do about top heavy iris. So many of mine fell over, and it's been unseasonably cool, windy and rainy. Then I remembered, the first year of bloom, one fancy bearded did the same thing. Then the following year, one or two fell but not the whole lot, almost seems like they know they have to develop tougher stems. I'll try some support next year. They were so loaded with buds. I think your iris will be fine. This is what was going on at my place last year, fell right on my Mariposa Skies, Immortality, and a Siberian; the bearded ones had multiplied nicely, and when that thing came down, it came down hard!!! I didn't know what to expect there, had two roses I'd rooted as well but it partially flattened one and totally flattened the other; they're back, about to bloom, look fine, canes do better in our winters than most of my other ones. Well, the iris sulked the rest of the season last year, and looked just awful by early spring. They started filling out again, and the end of that row nearest my camera is where that tree fell (see second photo further down). I was so discouraged I didn't do one bit of gardening last year, the sadness of losing that nice tree, the cost, and other difficult things going on. But ever so slowly, I've been out there and in front trying to clean it up, have a ways to go. But I must say seeing my Persian Berry and Edith Wohlford, one gold NOID, one group no blooms and can't remember. But Mariposa Skies and Celebration something (the pink and lavendar) filled out and bloomed beautifully. But no sign of Princess Caroline, and I had fussed with that one, finally moved it back to this row and it bloomed, think it is no more. So maybe this will encourage you but I sure know how you must have felt, free labor or not. Oh, the falls on Mariposa Skies were darker blue w/slight lavender tinge when they were shaded part of the day, but now in full sun, they are lighter. I'm going to try to get most of this row going in iris, tired of fighting the problems and maintenance with the rest that's in that row.

Hey squirrel, thanks for asking. I haven't been online very much, lately, as I've been trying to keep a close eye on her. Two nights ago we saw a bump around her incision and the next morning it was gone but there was another one in a different place. She had been tugging at her stitches, too. Of course, I started freaking out and called the vet's office, yesterday morning. I knew they'd be closed for the holiday weekend. They said to bring her in. When the tech took her in to see the vet, she came back and said it wasn't a big deal. Just some swelling from the internal stiches. No external stiches were compromised. They weren't even going to send me home with a collar or anything but when she saw I was a *bit* (lol) nervous, she made up some kind of stocking to put over her abdomen and a flex collar, just in case. The stocking was a hoot. She had it all scooted up when we got home. I pulled it lower and then she got her foot stuck in it and started limping around in circles. DH took it off and she really hasn't paid much attention to her stiches today. She's on my lap, right now. We go back next Friday to get them removed. Thanks for asking. :)

I know exactly how you feel. My baby..22 year old Jessica graduated from college last June. She was at a college 3 hours away...I could jump in the car, drive over to Pensacola and have lunch with her whenever I wanted. So...she decided to go to grad school...get her Ph.d in Bio-Chemistry...in Arizona!! That is 3 days away....driving 10-12 hours a day depending if you have a lead foot or not. She packed her little car to the rim and drove all the way to Arizona...scared the life out of me! But we talk several times a day...send emails back and forth. She just flew home for a week this past Christmas...I was in heaven having her home again. I cried buckets at the airport when we had to take her there to catch her plane. I did wait until she had got on board before I broke down squalling like a fool in front of God and everyone!!! LOL So, I do know how much you miss her! I miss Jessica every single minute but I also know she is excelling in what she is doing and it makes her happy. Deb

LOL, BBStx. Whenever I post something from Realtor.com, I always feel bad about the hits. In the thread about the limitations of white paint I posted a place we looked at in Boston, but that one is now off market so it's different. I just imagine the realtor on this house reporting to the seller: Wow! Interest in the house is really up! LOL In other news, my DH called the realtor on this one to clarify some questions.

I was caught unaware at Grey's. I think the tear jerker for the night was the Michael J. Fox special. A true story will be more emotional than a drama.

I didn't cry on Survivor. I was very uplifted to see her get to see her Hubby. It was Sweet. Did you notice after Hubby left she had on his Orange T-Shirt?

Grey's was very depressing to me.

I don't care for Survivor any more.

The best show on TV last night was the Michael J. Fox special. What a guy! For him, tears for sure, but not all sad ones.

I watched Michael J Fox last night, very uplifting, I would like to see him make this a series of shows. Obviously now weekly, but maybe several a year.

I don't watch Grey's Anatomy but I thought from the previews it was supposed to be the wedding episode - had read something recently that Katherine was leaving the show.
Definitely shed a tear over the family reunions, but that always gets me. It was so funny when Taj was grabbing Jeff's arm - and what a smart husband she has to wear something he could leave with her to wear for the last few days.
Wasn't sad to see Debbie go, she showed her true snake colors last night, I thought.

I just finished watching last nights Survivor...and Glenda...you didn't give it away, did you....I thought you shed tears for Taj because she got voted off....

I really wanted them to vote off Coach...but I think voting for Deb was a smart move...
I think even if Coach came in number two that the jury would not vote for him..so he'd be a good one to take.

But I don't even want him to win second place money....lol

I really had to laugh when Taj said to her husband that she smelled...and he said..."yeah you do"...
They seem like a very loving couple.

I saw Grey's later today. Yes, it brought tears, but I cry easily at movies and TV shows. I think it could have been better written. And since this is the season of proms and graduations and grad nights and all the automobile accidents, I wish there had been some lesson in the auto accident for our young drivers on such nights.

I watched Gray's last night since I recorded it. Yes, I did shed a tear. I have always thought Issy was one of the most interesting characters on the show and her acting is fabulous. But I believe I heard she is leaving so maybe next week will be it for her. I'm sorry to see her go.

i am anxious to see where those goes.. i read the writers blog and sounds like we are in for a big cliffhanger next week. their are alot of rumors out there that both izzie and george are leaving but honda rimes says it is not true.. so time will tell!
