Dog update and some pics...

Hi all! I haven't been posting too much here at the KT, but I did want to share some pics of Lassen (our new puppy). We found out he's a half Northern Inuit (which is a created mixture of Siberian Husky, Malamute, and German Shepherd) and half pure Siberian Husky. He's growing so much! And I can't really plant anything new this year- I discovered he reeeeally likes new dirt. ::Sigh::

Blessings and thanks for looking!

Haley

Here he is looking so regal and disdainful.

His side-view, but he wouldn't stand up! Argh!

Getting bigger!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. For your info, we have almost 6 months straight of rain over here, from around May to around end of October. So drainage is a big challenge for succulents outside. I made this bed by coarse sand alone, with nothing added. Also, I made the bed tilted towards the outside so I believe run-off as well as in-ground drainage is ok. And the plants survived the rainy season all right. But during the past dry season, the echeverias and semperviviums dried up their lower leaves. I watered the plants, during the dry season, about once a week when I'm available. It could have been better for them if I had watered more. Emerald: I hope you can have a mini-landscape indoors. You can certainly do that using a planting tray. Josh: you have given me great aspirations. Thank you so much. Some individual plants in the "desert" to share. Thank you so much for looking. It's great to be able to share. Xuan

Pull it out of the pot. I will bet you will find very soggy roots. Re-pot with appropriate potting medium. If the tangelo is in a pot (and will be brought inside), it won't hurt doing another fertilizer application, just be sure your fertilizer has micros. You can also try applying some chelated iron, if you think what you're seeing is iron deficiency. Patty S.

magsnj: Big Girl (so named by a fellow GW-er) is my green vintage Chambers stove. Late 40's/early 50's. She's the Queen. DH is doing the tile and the handmade tile is proving difficult for him.. makes him nervous. He had the border up but one corner was off and instead of moving it, he just scraped them all off to do again another day. I think he wants me to do it since it's kind of a special thing... if it's wrong, better to be my fault, lol. Ya. Running water will be grand! And I can't wait to fool around with that Asko dishwasher, too!

Thanks all ... they really are quite a pair. When they finally relax, they lay side-by-side so they're touching each other. Kim, they do take turns taking each other down ... and yes, I tell Rocky all the time to be gentler with Lily. She often has soggy ears from him grabbing them. But doesn't seem to mind ...

Thank you, everyone! : D

Lydia, he is being trained by his older "brother" Britain. Thank goodness! He takes him outside to potty, plays with him to keep him from chewing, sleeps with him, taught him how to sit for treats... I've only had 5 accidents in the house since we got him months ago and he's only pawed in some new plantings a couple weeks ago. I can't believe how good he is! I was totally dreading having a puppy, but Brit' has made it a breeze!

Blessings,

Blech, I gotta clean the side of my dishwasher!!! :b

Jenn, my DH actually made fun of me for posting about the dogs, but not kids or family. :) The kids are wonderful and growing like weeds. I'll post some pics of them- some of the KT'ers that are linked to my Facebook page get to see them regularly. :)

My mom is doing really well. She's had a few struggles, but that's to be expected. We're all going out to see her in Colorado in July which should be fun. :) I haven't visited her with the kids because she couldn't stay sober then.

Thank you soooo much for asking about us! I read here every day, I just don't post much lately. :)

Blessings,
Haley
