Loved James tonight!! I also thought Haley was really good.. especially her last song.

The others did well too, but I hope Jacob goes home tomorrow.

I think either James or Haley will go home. I really don't like Haley's style.

James, Lauren and Scotty rock! I think James will win it. I also think all 5 of them will get record contracts.

I can't imagine James going home, and although I want him to win I hope Haley hangs on till the end. In my opinion, both of them can do no wrong.

I think they're all getting record contracts in any case. No way is Scotty disappearing from the music scene, and Lauren is likely to be heard from, too.

I agree with Lydia: It's time for Jacob to go.

Incredible show last night. I think it was the best show so far. I was thoroughly entertained. For the first time, Sanjaya wasn't bad. His performance was much better than anything he's done before. The person who really bothers me and I think could very well be booted off tonight is Phil Stacey. He was the first one to perform. I just don't like him. Something about that guy really bothers me? And I think that out of all the performances last night, his was the weakest. Until Sanjaya's performance last night, I thought he should be the one to go. Guess we'll find out tonight. I agree that LaKisha should have listened to Lulu. I wasn't as impressed by her last night as I usually am. I'm adding Jordin to my favs too. And I rather like Haley, the girl with the mole and thought she was pretty good last night, though not the best. But I don't think she can win this. Melinda is just awesome as far as I'm concerned. I think she'll do well wheather she wins this or not. I look forward to her performances every week. Joy

I've always hated AI...until I was flipping through the channels about three weeks ago and Elliott was getting ready to sing. Oh, My Goodness! HE has RAW talent. If there were ever a diamond in the rough to clasp onto, then this is the man. He has little to no showmanship, but he can be taught. And I suspect WILL be taught. Already, someone's counseling him. He can grow that hair and find a good dentist...and he'll have women drooling. He needs an objective ear to help him chose the right songs to sing in this contest to win it. Overall, he is just phenomenal. I was shocked with all of the other talent on the show. Chris...has honed his pipes and stones to a smooth delivery of his persona when he performs. I'm a bit concerned that he isn't multifaceted. Time will tell. Katherine has my vote for the most marketable of the women. She has talent, looks, and presence. She is still immature acting at times, but towers over Kelli's frivolous attempt at playing the Barbara Mandrell's sister Erline's type of a roll; or like June Carter played. There is money in funny, but not stupid cutesy like Kelli is trying to pan out. It seemed that Seacrest was trying to give her some sympathy time, too, to try to keep her around longer...when he had her up there seated next to him for his fireside chat. I kid you not, she's probably a better actress than singer. Listening to her say something like, "Lookeehear! I got toenail polish on and fake eye lashes!" Makes me want to say, "Darlin', cut the crap. Women are listening and they're not as stupid as you think." We all know how men can be when it comes to a hot tamale. They drool. Even Simon drools. Thank the Lord he didn't the other night. As for Mandissa, Paris, Ace, Jay...or Taylor...they're marketable to a degree. They'll certainly make the tour fun and diverse. THAT is what I believe the judges were going for when they chose this group of singers: a diverse group that would appeal to all age groups when the show is done and over and the American Idol 2006 group goes on tour.

Tragically, at age 27 Sophie Gokey died duriing surgery in July 2008. She had a congenital heart condition. He tried out for AI only 4 weeks after her death, not 4 months. I've watched AI since its inception and IMO, this is the worse season of talent. Not sure why they put through that guy with the longish, curly hair who can't sing AT ALL. There were so many better than him. Don't remember his name. I'm really enjoyed Keith on the show, which I had my doubts how he would be, but, I like him in that capacity. I'm not a Nicki fan, but, most of the time I agree with her thoughts on the contestants performances/singing. She doesn't have a filter and maybe that's what I like about her. Mariah is a snooze for me, and Randy, well, he's just Randy. I hope these contestants get better, because as of now, they are ALL boring...IMO.

Please America, let Jacob go home. Then you can send Hayley. After that, either Lauren or Scotty (I like them both so surprise me), but James has to win it!

I don't know..... last night sounded as if they may be setting things up for an all-teen, all-country final.

They're all good, all will (with the possible exception of Jacob) probably have amazing careers. Like someone else, I think--for his sake--James would be better NOT winning AI. Only one AI winner has really become a superstar in their genre, while many of the others have actually done much better for themselves.

I wasn't too impressed with the contemporary songs last night (but that could be because I really didn't know many of them) but thought the 'oldies' were all amazingly done. Lauren, especially, sang hers as if it were contemporary and written just for her to sing. Wonderful rendition!

All are so talented.

I guess James shone brightest, but Scotty made me smile when he jumped all over the stage, and he didn't overdo his basso profundo this time.

Jacob should be the next to go. I didn't care for his version of "Love Hurts" at all. I guess I'm just getting old and so used to the original. Then again, I loved everyone else's versions of their old songs. I would be happy if James, Lauren or Scotty won...but kinda hoping that James wins in the end.
