I would point out that arguments FOR plastic or impermeable pots are still being offered from a 'convenience for the grower' perspective. If the plant needs constant moisture, it's still better to grow in a container that allows gas exchange in the root zone and water more frequently than it is to grow in a container that restricts gas exchange. You may have to compromise and grow in something impermeable because you're worried about keeping up with watering, but that doesn't mean it's better than unglazed clay - only more convenient for the grower. Unglazed clay also allows evaporation from the surface of the pot, which keeps roots cooler, which can be a + during the heat of summer or when containers are exposed to solar heat gain from direct sun. Jeannie was right about the number of holes not affecting drainage. It doesn't matter if the container has 1 or 10 holes - even in very large containers. Drainage is determined by the size of the particles in the soil, and not how many holes in the pot. Additional holes will have some affect on the evaporation rate because additional soil is exposed to the drying effect of the air, but it doesn't make the pot drain any better. It may make it drain just a little faster, but it doesn't matter to the plant if it takes 30 seconds or 3 minutes for the soil to drain. You should, however, be taking a close look at the soil if it takes 3 minutes for it to stop draining, because that's an indication it is too water retentive and lacks proper aeration. Al

Can you get multiple shades on a single headrail? I was going to go bamboo and had the same issue. My windows were just over 70" wide and I was advised not to go with a single wide blind. We'd need ours lined (I see neighbors, so you might too?) and apparently they get ungodly heavy at that width. I didn't want completely separate shades, though, because they're so hard to line up and end up looking piecemeal (IMO). I have a pic of individual pane shades I can post of it would help (I'll have to pull it off my phone rq). I ended up going with shutter blinds (extra wide slat horixontal blinds), multiple blinds on a single headrail. It looks cohesive, but each blind is very manageable, and I like that I can raise/lower them independently.

I have the Treviso as well and don't have any problems at all with mine. 1. I'm looking for a pull down faucet that has a nice, solid button for the spray (not the flexible rubber ones). this is a big one for me. I know a previous poster said theirs is rubber and I had to double check mine, it is definitely a hard black plastic. I also got mine from Faucet Direct on ebay. If you decide to go that route you may want to ask them about the faucet they will be sending you. 2. it would be nice if you can engage the button and then it stays a spray, rather than having to hold the button in. Mine stays in the mode you put it in. When you turn the water off however, it goes back to the default setting which is stream. The slide adjustment to control the pressure on the stream stays put though which is nice. 3. i like the idea of being able to adjust the water pressure/stream right on the head....is this what the PF faucet has and is there any other? any more explanation of this feature? The only time I use this feature is when I have it in spray mode...then I put it on full blast, makes cleaning dishes off easier. I do like the feature though and it was a selling point for me. 4. when you are finished with the spray head, i'd like it to dock securely and easily back where it belongs. magnetic? weight? screw it in? Mine is magnetic and I haven't had any issue with it not staying in place as the previous poster stated. Overall I'd definitely buy the faucet again. I have had no issues with leaks, the spray head not staying put or anything of that nature. I will caution you to make sure they set the faucet up correctly BEFORE they drill the holes. I gave the faucet to my fabricator and he didn't use the ring at the bottom of the base when he checked for clearance. When we installed the faucet it was too high so we had to do without the ring at the base. It doesn't effect the function so I've learned to love it as it is. Good luck...for some reason choosing a faucet was a hard decision for me!

A 33” width sink is actually not that wide - compared to some sinks we see on here. One pull-down faucet is fine and you will be able to spray the entire sink. You do not need two faucets for a 33” sink. I think it would look too crowded. I also like the Kohler Artifacts faucet because it is a traditional look, but still looks good with a kitchen with transitional elements. While your Shaw’s sink is quite traditional, your granite is somewhat contemporary, so you want a faucet that can look good with both. The Hansgrohe Joleena you mentioned is a contemporary faucet, not transitional. That’s fine too, just wanted to give you more to think about.
