jessyf, I have always just put the mousse into a big trifle bowl. It fits exactly. We put most of the food on a buffet, so I set it out there with some little bowls. I've never tried the cupcake papers, so I couldn't say. If you have the freezer space and tons of little bowls or ramekins, you could freeze individual servings that way. For a flourless chocolate torte, try that one I posted above. It's absolutely fantastic -- we aren't even big sweet eaters or chocoholics, and we were fighting over the last piece -- and VERY easy; you don't even have to separate the eggs. Here is another really great one I used to make: Passover Chocolate Parcel Torte 8 oz. butter/margarine 8 oz. semisweet chocolate chips 8 oz. sugar 8 eggs, separated whipped cream/nuts (optional) Melt butter/margarine with chips; remove from heat. Add sugar; add yolks, one at a time; beat after each. Beat 10 minutes until very thick. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour 3/4 of the batter into greased and "floured" (with potato starch) pie or spring-form pan. Leave remaining batter in bowl; do not refrigerate. Bake at 325 F 35 minutes; cool. It will fall to form a shell. After cooled, pour in the rest of the batter and refrigerate. Top with whipped cream and/or nuts if desired, but it doesn't need it. You can also make it bigger by using crushed macaroons mixed with melted margarine for the crust.

Very nice! I love your floors and your paint color and your doggy! The furniture looks good. The rug could be a little bigger... But I agree with the comments that all that's really needed is some softness. You have a lot of "hard" things and just need some plant material, drapes, a couple well placed oil paintings (or canvas transfers) on the walls. Would it be possible to tell me the color of your walls? I absolutely love it. My floor is your color as is my trim and I'd like to try it in my house. Just a general question to others -- what has been going on at gardenweb? I'm a somewhat regular viewer and occasional contributor here at gardenweb, but have been away for a couple months and I come back and see these these comments on several threads scolding people for being unkind when all they're doing is expressing opinions that were asked for in the first place. Either someone is trying to disrupt this site, or people are feeling very threatened these days. I hope it can tone down and people can mellow out. This is supposed to be a fun place.

Because the story is not mine, I can laugh. And you will too.... someday. I have 4 kids. Ages 4-11. I have been shopping with them a lot. A LOT. I MEAN THEY ARE TIED TO MY BODY AND I AM JUST NOW GETTING AWAY... seriously though, shopping with kiddos is HARD. being tired, after a long day of whining, potentially crying - there is NO WAY I can be held responsible for intellectual decisions with kids in tow. ok. 309 inches vs 309 feet is pretty funny. and big. and you would think you'd notice a huge difference in cost... and volume. But honestly, I can think of more than a few shopping trips in which I EASILY could have done the same thing. I just wanted everyone locked into their carseats and to get out of there as soon as possible. I can't tell you the number of times I've bought clothes/shoes without trying on - it was easier to take them home to try on and take it back if it doesn't work than it was to extend the shopping trip that much longer. Or organizing stuff... not sure which one would work... can't make my brain work in the store with the kids, so I buy more than what I need only to return the excess later. ok. so my advice: babysitter. (wish I'd take my own advice more often, but then again, I know how hard it is to find help). Also, don't do the job when you know you can't. There have been times when I walk into a store and instantly realize it is not a good shopping day - my brain is not with me. Turn around and leave. Shop another day. (btw- I am "smarter than your average bear" - college degree/summa cum laude - the whole 9 yards. the overwhelmed, too much mommy brain reflects nothing on your intelligence -- you are just asking too much of yourself to be able to do it all!)

I also like a bit of a wild look, and so knowing this about myself, I put in very strong outlines of hardscape so it would never look too messy. I designed everything myself, but had a wonderful landscape designer help me put it into reality. She really like my design so didn’t change anything about it. There is butternut squash out there now running amok. I love butternut squash. The green babies are fabulous in stir fry. Made Kung Pao Chicken today with one baby butternut plus red peppers from the farmers market.
