I found out this afternoon that my 56 year old step sister has stage 4 ovarian cancer, stage 4 liver cancer and also cancer in her lymph nodes. They are going to begin aggressive treatments on her. The prognosis isn't good. Please keep Bonnie in your prayers.

Linda, I so hate to hear news like this. She is only 56.
It is amazing what they can do now a days. Do you live close to her or does she have family close?
I will keep Bonnie in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the very best for her.

Such good news for Bud! And I'm with Tally... these days many procedures that were once difficult, have become so routine. Andrew - I am so sorry that even after your surgery that you continue to have problems. Maybe your Dr. will choose to remove all the rods and such and that will make all the difference. Even when I don't see you post regularly, you are still on my mind from time to time. Hopefully the day isn't too far off when you can say how great you are doing. You certainly aren't alone with having a slow bloom season. The weather has been so weird this summer. Really, I shouldn't complain because it has made working at the plant farm so much more pleasant, yet.......... well, ya know! :) Oh yeah... please don't feel like you should carry any responsibility for some of the "debates" around here. Someone could post that the sky is blue and it would turn into a discussion on why you are wrong about that. Or maybe be asked to post evidence that it is true. Whatever, right? Don't let that kind of stuff keep you away. We need you here! :)

I will definitely pray for her. I will now ask our Lady, the most Blessed Virgin Mary, to intervene to God on young Katie's behalf. I will also ask Pope John Paul II who should be a saint in the near future. Through his intervention, God has cured at least one person for sure (a nun who suffered from Parkinsons like John Paul II did, was cured from one day to the next in 2005, a few months after he had died). The Church continues to investigate many other possible miracles accredited to his intercession. So I shall pray for her cure but God forbid, if she is taken, she will be with God in heaven.

It seems like God always answers when I pray for others, not so much when I ask for myself. KT prayers helped my cousin Joyce when she fell and broke her hip, then had a heart attack the next day. Also helped her sister Judy when she had a heart blockage and needed surgery on December 24 a couple years ago.

I somehow missed this one...

This sounds pretty bad....I will offer prayer for her...and hope the best. I know my cousin in law's sister is in remission. She's been in remission for her cancer she got three years ago. And now she is in remission for the lukemia.

It can happen !!!

I am sorry to hear this. Cancer is a terrible word, so many of us have experienced it in our families one way or another.
