Got gas for $3.52.

It's coming down in some areas around here. Closest one to me is $3.62, but I was in another part of the city today and bought it a dime cheaper a gallon. Yea!!!

We bought it tonight for $3.64 at a Central FL BJ's club.

Sad, isn't it, that we're EXCITED about gas prices that are, on average, $1.00 per gallon more than last year.

well searching the web provided this response... The solenoid of which you speak basically blocks a circuit in the carb to lessen backfire/ emissions when shut off. If you feel a tic or hear a click when the the key is turned to run- it is working. You can remove it and watch it actuate too. It will not however prevent the condition you are having. You may have a touch of debris between the float valve and seat which is allowing the fuel through. If there is a worn "ring" pattern in the valve- replace it for sure or do it anyway. Clean the tank and bowl, flush the lines and thru the float valve w/ fresh fuel, replace the fuel filter, change the oil (plus oil filter if equipped). Hook the spark plug wire over the torx headed bolt and crank the engine to expel more of the fuel.Reinstall the spark plug and wire and expect more emissions for the first few minutes. remember that the muffler may have oil, fuel washed down inside of it and tho possibility of fire is slight, prepare for it none the less. The condition may still reoccur. An inline shut off valve kit is a great thing to install and use. That way, if a failure happen whilst it is sitting- the engine and muffler won't flood. I think I'll be checking the operation of this solenoid when I get home....

You can make a metal "T" fairly easily from black pipe (not galvanized pipe) and fittings you can buy at the store. Make sure threads are good, use gas pipe joint compound on the threads as lubricant, and use two good pipe wrenches to get them tight. Leak test with soapy water when you get done. I would also figure out you how you want to support and protect the "tree" you make, since its going to be fairly large and heavy. You don't want someone to move appliances around to clean or get something out of the way, and end up damaging a valve or flexible line when they hit your "tree". Bruce

Yes, of course, gas ovens turn the burner on/off throughout the baking process to maintain the target temperature, so the flame continually turns off and reignites as needed. Some ovens years ago may have had a modulating thermostat that moderated the flame up/down to hold the temperature steady instead of turning fully on/off but that's likely rare to non-existant nowadays. (Some gas clothes dryers years ago also used the modulating method, such as Kenmore "soft heat" models.) I don't think it's oxygen in the oven cavity causing the gas odor and boom. O2 is required to burn gas and is present to the same concentration both inside and outside the oven cavity whether the door is opened or not. Ovens are not airtight. I suspect it's the thermal effects from introduction of a large volume of cooler room air into the oven via opening the door which is contributing to the effect ... similiar to a refrigerator or freezer door being difficult to re-open for several seconds after being opened.

Don't come to S.Calif,ours is still over 4.00 Yesterday it was 4.19 at the station closest to our house.We've really cut backon our driving.

I'm wondering why. In less than a week here we've dropped .51 cents. I'm not complaining mind you, I'm just wondering what the reason is. First quarter results are in and bonus' probably paid, so I guess they'll give us some relief.

Gee....I got a fill-up yesterday for 3.81/gal, and felt like it was a bargain. I don't use that much gas...paid 3.43/gal last time(2-3 months ago), and waited until I was almost on fumes to go back.

Still $3.78 to $3.89 around Ocala. Haven't been out for a couple of days, so maybe it's gone down.

Whooo! Lucky you. Cheap petrol. Around here, gasoline peaked at $4.39/gal. Laat week, it slipped back to $3.96/gal and held. Last week, the price of sweet crude began rising again on the futures market. I'm hoping it stays below $4 until I have to fill my tank again.

The vehicle I'm driving right now gets good mileage. A tank will last me more than 2 weeks, and its not a large tank (16 gal).

we passed a Velero station yesterday selling it for $3.29 and it looked like people were about to start fighting, long line waiting their turn.
I got gas last weekend at Kroger, using my Kroger gas points mine was under $3.29 so those points came in handy.
