Adam was by far the best out of the bunch. Allison was good, although, I didn't really care for the song she picked.

Danny and Chris totally ruined all the songs they sang, especially the Styx song, totally horrible. Danny singing
"Dream On" was beyond bad.

I think it's time for Danny to go. Haven't really cared for his singing sing the auditions.

I liked the duets ok but I really didn't like the rest of the show. Hard rock is not my "thing". Danny was awful.

I wonder if children's financial needs were addressed in those days? I hope Ann Clark received more than just her divorce decree. And about those old court records...we all assume the facts as stated are correct. Yet I remember having to accuse my first husband of "mental cruelty" in order to obtain a divorce in 1957. Wasn't true...still less was there physical cruelty and yet those were the only grounds on which you could get a divorce in GA at that time. No chidren involved nor alimony...I just wanted my maiden name and life back, and it was uncontested. My attorney said "it's just a formality" but I always felt squeamish about lying...and there those records will be forevermore. I think the "no fault" is much better where if both agree to a divorce no blame is attached, just a divorce granted. I hope all states now have it. josh

FWIW. A very pertinent article from The Car Connection's Daily Edition: "Detroit Needs More Than Healthcare Cuts? General Motors, Ford and even the Chrysler Group need to look beyond cuts in healthcare benefits as they restructure if they plan to regain strength in the automotive industry, says one of the industry's top observers. Laurie Harbour-Felax, a consultant and analyst who studies the domestic industry extensively, said that domestic carmakers still have a long way to go to catch their top Japanese competitors. During the first part of the 2005, Nissan made $1,826 per vehicle sold while GM lost $1,227, a gap of $3,300. Even the profitable Chrysler Group made only a fraction of Nissan's per-vehicle profit, at $186 per vehicle, said Harbour-Felax, who was a principal in Harbour & Associates for many year before setting up her own firm this year. To keep pace with Asian competitors, domestic carmakers must figure out ways to use more common parts and vehicle architectures and limit warranty expenses and recall costs, which are still too high now despite the substantial improvements in quality. American companies score much better in initial quality surveys but the longer-term quality that shapes public perception of a vehicle and a company still seems to lag behind. Domestic carmakers spend between $200 to $300 more per vehicle on recalls and that has to be eliminated, she said. Yes Nik, I have heard of some ways to watch BBC without living here, always a way around these things apparently. We pay equivalent $US200 per year to watch the stuff, and although we moan about it, I think overall it's worth it, otherwise we would have advertisements with every programme, as per the other channels. Incidentally, a few months ago I watched one called 'Greece with Simon Reeve', he's been around to lots of countries and this was the turn of Greece and so very interesting it was too. Not so far on Youtube, it's still copyrighted, so only a trailer here. youtube trailer There is a bit more about it on this BBC info page, but I'm not sure if you can access it. Just a couple of datapoints. 2018 was the lowest coal consumption in 39 years. The forecast decline for 2019 is 8%. Assuming that rate continues, it is insignificant in a decade. April 2019 was the first month that renewables (23%) surpassed coal (20%) for US electricity generation. And yes - April is great solar month. I suspect it flips back for one last time in December. The fuel choice in a new house lasts for a long time. Switching can cost a significant chunk of change. You can talk about coal as a electricity generating source but that is backward thinking. Trust me, I know about the coal ash issue. I would 100% never change NG out for an economic or environmental reason. But buying a new one, plumbing and exhausting a new one - doesn't make economic sense (most markets) . Southern VA has got to have relatively low electric rates. TD - I had Dual Fuel in my last house. My NG bill for heat was around $100 a year (skipping the monthly maintenance and cooking amount) Resistance electric probably would have been $250, except that I would have run the HP harder. I would guess it saved $75 a year tops. Cost me $1500+ (new construction) so payback was marginal at best.

Adam and Allison had the advantage tonight, IMO. They got to sing their solos first, then Danny and Kris sang their duet followed by their solos. Adam and Allison finished the show with their duet....which was rockin'!!! So, Adam and Allison started the show and finished it, too. Since they're both rockers at heart, it's not hard to see that they had the most impact.

I LOVE Adam.
I taped his performance and played it over and over again. He is the best singer Idol has ever had.
Led Zeplin brought back so many memories. That was the 60's and oh was that a wild ride. He sang better than the original artist.

I love Danny and Kris but I knew both of them would struggle last night, which they did. Adam is very good and frankly, I don't even know why he's in this competition. With his experience in theater, he must have come across someone that has recognized and offered to help push his career. At this point, I doubt that there is anyone that really doesn't believe that he is going to win this competition. As for me, I'm still voting for Danny, as I think he's a well rounded performer with a great attitude.

I agree with Ann. But, Adam is sure to win. Glad he was found, if that is the case.

Young Allison will go places too!

I love Danny and Kris, but they will be next to go.

I'm with you as well, Ann. And I did think it was great the way the judges acknowledged that both Danny and Chris were not afraid to step outside their comfort zones and perform in a genre they don't normally do. That is something Adam did not do.

I would really like to see Idol eliminate those that are professionals, or semiprofessionals. Surely they can develop some sort of ruling, it isn't fair to the others.

I thought Allison was great. I will admit Adam did very well with his songs and the duet with them was Rockin!

Time for Danny to go though.

No, no... Danny needs to stick around for awhile. He's never been in the bottom three.. so I think he has a big enough fan base to keep him in the competition for now. I think any of the other 3 could go. Not that they deserve it, they are all really good.. but somebody's gotta go. :-)

Adam was great, and he certainly was in the genre. He nailed last week too, outside of his genre. I must have voted 100+ times for Adam! I liked Allison too, and she's made great strides in the past few weeks. Their duet rocked.

I'm not sure if experience in musical theater would be considered professional/semiprofessional if it's not in major regional shows or Broadway. A lot of Adam's past performances on YouTube seem to be from local shows/benefits/cabarets. Besides, if most of his experience is in musical theater, he may not have had the right exposure to the right people to advance a broader singing career. Isn't that what AI is about?

Reading Lynn's post made me think of something that hadn't occurred to me until now. Although Kris and Danny were both out of their zones with the rock last night, they both gave it their best. Although I like Adam and have thought from the beginning that he would win, I now remember how he changed Ring of Fire from country to rock. So, I would have to say that Adam's not willing to step out of the box and try things that aren't easy for him. Anyone agree??? I think the reason the various music genres are required each week is to show how well rounded each contestant is.

The judges on AI tell the contestants week after week to figure out who they are and sing with that in mind. Adam is a rocker so he takes whatever he is given and applies himself.

With that said, Adam is quite versatile. Go to YouTube and do a search for Adam Lambert Brigadoon and you'll see he can do something other than rock. And he does it extremely well.

I think on AI Adam wants to market himself as a rocker, just like Chris Daughtry did a few seasons ago.
