Storage bags for patio furniture...need help finding...

I don't even know if such a thing exists, but I am in need of a storage bag that zips closed that will hold patio furniture. I have found them for cushions but not the actual furniture. We have alot of patio furniture at the cabin at the lake and have to bring it in and out each time we're there, which is a pain because that requires bringing it up and down a set of stairs - very much a pain!

We'd like to store it outside, but it needs to be protected from the sun/heat and bugs (there are lots of bugs/cobwebs). We can bring them in during the winter months, so they'd be mostly used during the summer.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists, and if so, where?????

Steph; both pottery barn and restoration hardware online (probably in stores too) have covers for furniture. Hope that helps

Thanks! I've found tons of covers but just that - covers. I need something that is completely enclosed, not just the top and sides. This is the challenge....

Anyone who follows the Container Gardening board here knows that much of the discussion about pine bark fines is regarding where to find the damn stuff. Obviously it is not easy to find for most people, and it is not available in most big box stores. The pine bark mulch sold in most big box stores is not fines. Most the discussion on the Container gardening forum stems from the fact that most people don't even know what they are looking for, even know what bark fines are despite all the info available about them on the web. And yes I know that the bags of pine mulch sold in the big box stores is not the same thing. Pine bark fines are not sold outside in the mulches section. They are sold inside the section devoted to starting seeds and growing plants. In the Lowe's here, just there yesterday, they are inside on the shelves next to the exotic plants section where the big containers, container plants, cactus mix, the violet mix, the perlite, vermiculite, decorative container gravel etc. is located. At Home Depot, in both of them here, they are just outside the door into the gardening section (not with the bags of mulches), the section on the shelves next to the super sized containers and the similar exotic soils and mixes. I take the rings off for storage, so I re-use my rings all through out the canning process. I have several decent sized boxes of rings that were never used. When one starts looking rusted, I toss it out and grab a new one, and usualy have about 3-4 dozen in rotation during the canning season, and that is for putting up 50 dozen jars. I store my empty jars upside down in cardboard boxes - in the cellar pantry where I also store the canned goods. I do this mostly to keep the dust out, but have not had any problems with rims so far (has not been that many years though). Though we keep a humidifier running down there, I'd be way too worried about rust showing up on rings, as I have issues with rust showing up on rings sitting on my counter. I've not had a problem with rust on never used rings, but once they have been through the canner they seem to rust more easily. My rings are kept in a much dryer closet, but there is not room there for all my empty jars, though I keep the never used ones (with rings and lids still on them) in that closet for the same reason.

jaydubya cites options 1 through 5. 6. Do not redesign layout; install standard counter cabinet with wall oven under induction cooktop. That is what we did (LG LCE30845 induction cooktop over Bosch convection wall oven); the only downside is that the oven controls are designed for straight-on viewing, and thus require bending over to see clearly.

I use woolite, cold water and gentle wash. Low temp dry with dryer balls or a clean gym shoe to fluff up the down. That’s how I was all my camping gear, and down blankets. Only wash when needed to preserve the life of the down.

Steph - I spoke too soon, Solutions doesn't have what I had seen before. However, I check QVC, and their large BBQ cover is also suggested for patio furniture - hope this works:

We used to sell giant plastic bags at a storage facility I worked at. We sold packing/moving supplies, and amongst the bags (although not all ziplock) were mattress, bbq, sofa, and chair bags. The mattress bags did have zippers. The others came with zip ties(plastic one way closing things LOL). Much like ginormous sandwich baggies. Maybe you could use something like that.

I know that I saw something demonstrated on TV awhile ago, because I was thinking we needed that, too. That's what makes me think I saw it on HSN or QVC - they showed how all the lawn furniture, including a motorcycle, was stored beneath a contraption, zippered close, and had stakes for securing it to the ground as well. Seems I remember it was a clear (see thru) plastic-type material, but allowed air to flow thru so things could "breath" - but not be full of dust & dirt. If I recall, it was somewhere around $80 - $100 - but seemed worth it to protect things - and where we are, from blowing around in strong storms. Will keep searching.
