Do you like dried banana chips?

Bought some to add a crunch to my oatmeal.

Been on a roasted sunflower seed kick for quite a while, and gotten tired of it.

Thought I'd give banana chips a whirl.

Not a lot, just enough for the crunch in my oatmeal.

A lot of days wife will have two dehydrators going. She drys bananas,pineapple,apples, green peppers etc. The banana and pineapple are the grandkids favorite snack.We have two early june apple trees that she will be dehydrating the fruit from soon.

glenda you'll probably have the break them up a bit...some pieces are a bit hard to chew, lol...don't forget dried cranberries...

I have been eating them for years, with whatever fruit in my yard that is ripe.... Last blood test dr told me my Potassium is high .... Every thing healthy I have started eating has lots of potassium esp bananas . .. bummer

I like them and buy them sometimes. More so recently because my lunch buddy likes them. We almost always get treats to share around and sometimes it is just a bunch of bananas. Cookies, cheese, and fruit are in the regular rotation... I have crackers and Brie to take today. My friend Kel is such a banana addict I put one in a loaf of squash bread and she IDed it on the first bite. I understand the big yellow Cavendish cultivar are going to go away. There is a disease the plants get that killed of the previous commercial cultivar and is now starting to kill the Cavendish. The plants don't reproduce sexually so there is not chance of a evolving into a disease free strain. The hunt is on for a new strain of banana. I've not made a deep fried banana in years. Years ago I worked at an A&W where we put them in a cinnamon batter and deep fried them. They were they served with soft serve ice cream with lots of chocolate syrup. As for seeing them as a phallic symbol I don't have a problem with that... better then seeing a cooked spagetti noodle as a symbol (little wonder viagra is so popular). I'm sure we could come up with a long list of things people see as phallic... wonder wtf is on their minds? Dolly's vet is coming over Thursday... think I'll make some banana bread. I like mine a little green. Once they start getting brown I don't want them unless they are in Banana Bread, Banana Pudding or something like that. I also like frozen bananas. They taste more like a dessert than just a piece of fruit. 4 y/o DGD Erica had seen the commercials for the Debbie Meyer Green Bags and could tell you all about them. One day DD had some bananas that had turned brown but she planned to make Banana Bread. Erica said "Mommy, if you would use the Green Bags your bananas wouldn't look like that." I put them in a sandwich plastic bag and hammered them into small pieces.

Yes, and I love the fruit and nut mixes. I do like dried cranberries, apricots, pineapple and mango too. I have some of all of the mentioned above in the kitchen, great snack options.

They will break my teeth, so no. I'll put in nuts & raisins and the real bananas

Because I finely chopped them up with a hammer, and added them to the liquid when I microwaved, guess you might say I rehydrated them, and it worked.

Just a break from the toasted sunflower seeds :o)

I hate bananas, but LOVE banana chips. One of my grand-dtrs shares my love/hate. I guess I could also try them in my oatmeal... just hope they don't taste like bananas! LOL

I don't like dried bananas but I love Craisins! They are good in my oatmeal and in salad or just eating.

Love bananas but not the chips. Love oatmeal too with frozen blueberries, walnuts or raisins, tsp of cinnamon and brown sugar.
