Doing knobs on all drawers - what about warming drawer?

I am doing knobs on all drawers - even the 36" ones below my rangetop. I am just a knob person. I have to do pulls on my paneled fridge and freezer drawers and dishwashers, which I am fine with. I really don't want to do one on my warming drawer unless I must. It is a Miele, stacked below two electrolux icon pro appliances. I put a panel on it so it would match the cabinets, and hate to put a pull there (there will be knobs on surrounding cabinets and above speed oven) because I am afraid it will look funny since they won't match the appliances above.

Are knobs a possibility or do they impair function? Should I do a pull? The pulls I have selected are the Top Knobs Somerset in Chrome.

I put pulls on all of my integrated appliances, including WD, so that there would be a visual cue that it was an appliance, especially the fridge drawers and WD, since the coolers and DW have their shapes for cues.

You don't have to do that! If you want your WD to look like a regular drawer, put a knob on it! My WD is Monogram, but as far as I know it's like any other WD--there's a gasket that creates the only seal, and it's not a pressurized seal, and the drawer itself is very light weight. There's actually more to pull against in my regular drawers with the springs on the soft closers than on the warming drawer, so a knob would be perfectly functional.

I don't know if my pull looks funny by your definition (looks fine to me, but it's your beholding eye that counts):

I have a knob on my trash drawer pullout and i hate it. I wish it was a cup pull like the rest. If you like knobs, go for it but I just wanted to provide my two sense just in case. My drawers/trash pullout are all soft close and I think that is why it is so annoying.

I have the Sharp 24" MW drawer (KB-6524PS), and I have a KA WD under my ovens just across the aisle. (The slab drawer front with the hole is the WD. Slab will be replaced with a Shaker front soon.) I use the WD multiple times a week and love having it. Even DH, who sceptically asked if we needed one when I announced the purchase, says it was a great idea. I warm plates, proof yeast bread/rolls, keep DH's dinner warm as he never makes it home before 7:30, keep part of a meal warm when I've accidently or purposely completed a dish before the whole meal is done, kept rolls warm, kept pancakes and the like warm. My WD heats up faster than my oven and is more quiet! If I HAD to choose, I'd go with the MW. I'm semi-tall, but don't find the drawer height an issue. (I had been very concerned about that when laying out my kitchen.) I use it daily to warm leftovers, melt or soften butter, etc. I don't cook in it, but find it invaluable for daily kitchen life. I need to start using some of those fancy features!

My cab maker said our top drawers will be 4 3/4" and with rails there will be 1 3/4" space in between for hardware. Springroz has 3" space in between and Christine has 6" drawers with 3" in between. That could be the difference. Out of our 26 drawers, only 8 are small top drawers so maybe I should do slab on those. Looking back I do like the look for the top drawer. I was just "scared" that without a bead they may be too plain but I think with everything else that goes on in a kitchen it will probably look great anyway! Just making sure with cab maker all the top drawers are 4 3/4" before I make a final decision : )

What are your thoughts about warming drawers? Do I need one?

I never had a warming drawer before. The 30" slide in Bosch range I purchased came with one, so now I have one. In the few weeks since we have installed the range I have used it several times. Here's how it has helped me out: I love it for pancakes, and waffles in the morning. I don't think I would use it for eggs, but we are a household of very fussy egg eaters(we won't eat them if they aren't from our hens). My oven has a proof function, but if the oven is occupied I can proof in the warming drawer. I just took muffins out of the oven and my kids are out playing in the snow. Stuck the muffins in the warming drawer and they will be even more appreciated when every one comes back in, wet and cold. Keeps the mashed potatoes perfect while I get the rest of the meal finished or just keeps the meal perfect while I relax with my husband and a glass of wine before dinner. Come lacrosse and football season, it will keep dinner warm whoever's practice or game goes late. And, like another responder my DH sometimes comes home pretty late, particularly if he is arriving from another city. It is nice to let him know I saved him a plate and that it is warm- otherwise he sometimes just doesn't bother with dinner and makes do with bananas(not that there is anything wrong with that!) Would I buy a specific warming drawer and let it take up cabinet space, probably not. If I ever need a new range would I look for one with a warming drawer instead of a storage drawer- yes.

Good things to think about--thanks! I ordered a few knobs/pulls and will test them for sharpness. I can put them in my bathroom for a test run. I decided my paper mockups don't do a good job of representing the bulkiness (or lack of bulkiness of the pulls; I needed to cut out the middles. Zwizzle, I agree with you on the function of one pull (or knob, or whatever). It just seems right for function. These drawers are big (in addition to being wide, the interior space is about 28" front-to-back), and will hold heavy stuff, so if I think I'll be tugging from one offcenter handle, I should avoid the 2-handle setup. Maybe I can mix a large rectangular bar with these pulls if they pass the pain test. So, back to knob shopping. Do y'all think black is the way to go for handles that don't stick out? The countertop here will be stainless steel, faucets and (probably temporary) lights chrome, but house-ish metals are brass (doorknobs, window hardware, etc.). I think a dirty brass might be alright but I don't want anything sparkly. At least I don't think so.

Thanks all. We have all soft close too. I hope I don't hate it! I am just a real minimalist and love the simplicity of knobs. When I looked through the last few magazines I had, the kitchens I loved had all knobs too.

Very glad to know about the warming drawer. Yours looks great Phillog but you have done a great job of matching the handle width with the Advantium. That had never occurred to me - I was picturing this huge Pro handle on the oven and speed oven, surrounded by knobs and a dinky pull. I don't think the pull I like comes with enough heft to pull that off. The 12" one is plenty hefty but it gets skinnier as it gets shorter ;) Plus the 12" one is heavy and $$$ and I would prefer not to buy another!

Yes, size matters. The pulls on my fridge and freezer are 3' long, vertically, and really hefty. The ones on the DW and fridge drawers, both of which are two feet wide, are 18", and the one on the thirty inch wide warming drawer is 24". That way all of the horizontal appliance pulls are 6" less than the front of the appliance (all are about an inch wide). A dinky pull doesn't make sense.
