kenmore 385 sewing machine
Comments (1)I have a Kenmore 385.19233. It is made by Janome. I have had the machine about 3 years. I love the machine. I had it cleaned and serviced by a Janome dealer about a year ago, and he said that it was the same quality as the machines with the Janome name on them. The only issue that I have had with the machine is that it broke a needle and nicked the bobbin case. The case was then catching the thread. I got a new bobbin case and all was well. You might want to check to see what the last numbers are of the sewing machine that you are looking at. Kenmore has been making the 385 for quite a while and not all are equal....See Morekenmore 1400 zig zag sewing machine
Comments (1)Hancock fabrics, Joanns (they show 3 on their website), likely Hobby Lobby, they seem to be pretty commonly available nowadays. Make sure it will accommodate your type of bobbin, I've heard some people say their bobbins don't fit. If you can get a coupon and have a retailer nearby you'll save some $$. Good luck. Comments (5)Does this (link at bottom) look like your machine? This website: http://www.sewusa.com/ has lots of great free info, and also sells manuals. They have posted dozens of threading diagrams for different model machines for free on this Threading Diagrams web page: http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Threading_Diagrams.htm I found the link (below) for the Kenmore 12 there. If the link below is not for your machine, you might find the threading instructions you need on their Sewing Machine Threading Diagrams web page. Comments (6)Did you get the bobbin case squared away? That's a class 15 bobbin and bobbin case. I think the "finger" position may be either an 11 O'Clock or 1 O'Clock. I believe I have an Ultra Stitch 12. It's a nice machine. Let me know if you need help. Happy stitching!...See Moreloisflan
