Heard from JOdi, and her DH is taking her to the hospital.
She's been ill since May 1.

So let's hope she gets to feeling better, real soon!

Hi Lily - I read your profile . . . I live in a farmhouse of about the same vintage in Pennsylvania, too. Ah, sleep! I didn't get enough of it last night, that's for sure. Like many people with FM, I have a window of sleep opportunity each night. Some nights it's very small. If I don't get to sleep right then (and often it comes when I'm in the middle of doing something), I can't fall asleep later when I want to. When that happens, I've found melatonin often solves the problem. I highly recommend it! Last night, thought, I had stayed up late to finish a project that is due today, and even melatonin didn't help. Also like many people with FM, my nervous system is out of whack. I'm kept awake by the slightest disturbance, and "disturbance" could be anything. These days I have my ailing cat, Princeton, in my bedroom. This has not been good for my sleep. Sleep aside, one of the biggest things that has helped my FM is breathing. Proper breathing, that is. Abdominal breathing. I try to make a point of lying down each day and breathing deeply, even if it's only for 15 minutes. Sometimes I fall asleep. But even if I don't, I always get up feeling better.

LOL ... the post that refuses to die. :-) When I took my glue on nails off after about seven years. My nails were so messed up I thought they would never look normal. Really, really wish I had taken photos though because the difference after using the Nail Magic Botanical Nail Strengthener with Horsetail, is amazing. The trick to getting your nails back in shape ... at least my approach is ... when I wash my hair I really use my nails to shampoo. As soon as I get out of the shower I clean under my nails real good with one side of a pair of tweezers because they are always nearby. No matter how short your nails are, this visually makes them look longer. After they dry, I apply a thin coat of Nail Magic Botanical Nail Strengthener with Horsetail and let it dry, followed by one more thin coat. The most important thing at this point is to coat the nail, the tip and under the tip no matter how short your nails are. This keeps the nail from getting ragged and snagging stuff. As soon as that happens, I start peeling my nails and everything is lost. I clean my nails the same way every morning and by day three, they already look longer. I add another thin coat of polish every 3-4 days concentrating on the tips each time. Hope this helps someone. Jodi-

Thank you for telling me what I know should have happened long ago. My sister and brother-in-law are both lawyers.We haven't wanted to upset Diane right now because of her health.But, we are going to ask Bob to help us get him out of here.Like I said, I don't want them to take them, I just want to know how to get him out.When Ken was in the hospital back in March because of taking to many pain pills, I asked the nurse case worker how I could get him out. She told me that because he was a relative and that I had let him move in, the only way to get him out was to take him to court. That doesn't seem right, and because of mine and Jim's health issues, I didn't go further.You asked me if he had mental or physical issues that would make him encapable to take care of himself. He somehow graduated from HS, has held jobs, only ones that Jim or my Dad got for him, and is not so much in pain from his back that he can't work. Sears let him go because he told them that he could only come back to work if he could work for two hours and be able to sit for 20 minutes when he needed to. The disability that he is getting is from insurance that he is payin #179. a month. It is not Government disability.As far as mental, he is really a filthy person.He doesn't shower, my children came over and tore up the carpet in his room, and painted his room purple, what he wanted. And his room is filthy already.I put his microwave and toaster oven on the porch because it is filthy and I don't want it in my house.Shortly after he moved in,I found bugs in the house so made him pay for an exterminator. He pays that every month.Sorry for venting, but that is about all I have done since he has been making our life even more miserable lately. He told me he is perfectly happy here, isn't leaving, and I can't make him leave. New Years resolution. He will leave here. We have looked into HUD houses, but they do inspections and you have to keep the place clean. So, if he doesn't and once he is out, he is not coming back. My Jim use to be a locksmith and this will be one happy job for him Thanks again, for listening.

I am so happy to be home. 18-days is a long time to be on a ship when half the time you are ill. I am just on my way to the doctor to see what I have. I've been sick since May 1. Have a rattle in my chest and having trouble breathing. Soon as I write this email DH is taking me to the hospital. Just need to have them figure out how to clear my lungs of junk.

Thanks everyone. Back home and back to reality. The doctor said I have bronchitis and gave me a Z-Pac, five days of powerful anti-biotics, and some decongestants for my head and chest.

I woke up on May 1, the day after the ship visited Russia, with a scratchy throat and have been sick ever since. Went to the ship's doctor twice but didn't get much help there. I tried very hard not to miss out on anything but still spent a good portion of my days at sea sleeping in. Didn't miss any shore time but did miss several breakfasts and morning activities. No big deal I suppose. The upside being, I actually lost weight on a cruise. :-)

Got to go back to work this morning. :-(

It will be a while before I have time to get my pictures sorted out.

It sure is no fun being sick on vacation; glad you got the meds you need to make you feel better.

Please be sure to followup with doc if you don't feel better after 48-72 hours on anti-infectives. My bronchitis turned into pneumonia that was very difficult to get over.
