Microsoft outlook help

Okay I was gone on a medical leave for 2 months. Had my Outlook on OUT OF OFFICE, and auto forwarded my E-mails. I'm back now, have taken OUT OF OFFICE off (it states I'm in the office), BUT my E-mails are still being forwarded to a co-workers computer. ODDER STILL, she is retired, and her messages are being forwarded to another co-worker...BUT only some of the messages she receives of mine (remember she receives ALL of mine) are being forwarded onto this other person.

HELP, how do I get this to stop?

I'm not sure I'll be too much help, but it sounds like you have a rule set up. Go to outlook, under tools, scroll down to rules and alerts. You should have a rule set up. I think you would have set the conditions and may have named it.

Salgal...I've checked all my rules, and there are none set up (I've deleted them all)

If she also has VistaMail in addition to Outlook (which is a part of Office) she can use HTML and put music in her e-mails. But if she's using Outlook, I believe she must use plain text only.

from the seven forums I found this possible fix "there could be a timing issue if you shut down your PC with outlook running or shut outlook and immediate shut down. Outlook does take some time to shut down fully so you can sometimes get this. If you run task manager and watch the outlook entry when you shut it down you will be able to gauge the shut down time for your system" data file did not close properly the last time it was used and is being checked for problems. you can check some of the many links from google.

Shaun, did the former secretary do this for him, or is this a new thing he wants? If it's new, then you simply don't have Outlook set up to retrieve email from his account. Look for a setting to add email accounts. Is it possible she had another email program set up on that computer too? Take a look at all programs on the computer.

I think I heard him say they would eventually do away with hotmail??? I was having a sound problem. When I first got this PC with W 7 I had to download window live mail and it was so congested/complicated and took a lot of work for me to adjust to it. It came in a suite with other things I didn't want, like messenger. I recently reformatted my PC and I did not find that suite. What I did find was a very simple email much like Outlook express. I think a lot of people were complaining about it and they changed it. If that is so they do listen to the user every once in awhile. LOL

Did you reboot your computer after you removed the rules? I'd try that.

Vickey, try to see if your rule is inside your "out of office assistant".
Go to tools, then out of office assistant.
At the bottom of that window is 3 options: add rule, edit rule and delete rule. If you have a rule set up there to forward to co-worker, click the box beside the rule and then delete.
Thats about the extent of what I could figure out...Good luck!
