I see you your "Epic" and Victor Mature movies and raise you "The Manitou." I think I was on a date when I was subjected to this 1978 movie that, according to the IMDB, offers the following plot line: A psychic's girlfriend finds out that a lump on her back is a growing reincarnation of a 400-year-old demonic, dwarf Native American spirit. And, Linda C, Tony Curtis starred as the psychic. I don't remember much about it other than it was bad, bad, bad. Runner up might be the last remake of "The Island of Dr. Moreau" with Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer. It was far more awful than it should have been.

Did anyone mention Dudley Moore in "10"?!?!? (besides my first GF Bo Derrik...;-)) G(D that was funny! When he's mumbling with his mouth packed full after the dentist... The "I'll alert the media" comment from the butler, when he's gonna take a bath... The "Airplane" series... Johnny saying, "WHERE did you get those shoes...and that dresss, Ohhh!" to the distraught woman. Zoolander, Dodgeball...good stuff! "Oh my god, they're Break-dance fighting!" The Money Pit... When Tom Hanks is "caught" in the ceiling?!?!? (I think I almost "went" when that scene happened!) Beverly Hills Cop I was pretty damn funny too. Faron

I can't really recall if I have walked out because I thought the movie was bad, but I have left and asked for compensation (in the form of a future movie ticket) when the sound or picture got screwy (once, they turned on the bright lights when they were trying to fix things -- can you imagine how startling to our eyes that was!). But I have to say this: In the cases of movies just not being as good as I thought they were going to be, I've never walked out and asked for my money back. Everybody's opinion is different -- and there are plenty of movie reviews out there to help you decide if you want to take the gamble, esp considering the high cost of theater tickets. In a restaurant, if your dinner comes out undercooked, overcooked, overly salted, you'd send it back, of course, to have them make it correctly, but if you just didn't care for it in general, because it didn't match your expectations, would you ask for your money back? What about a book you've purchased from a bookstore, a book that in the end you thought lacked creativity or suspense? Would you return the book and tell the store that the writer was terrible? But asking for money back if you thought the movie was just stupid? That's how I see the 'walk out of the movie and ask for your money back' position. (Not referring to the examples like Dotmom's or when the ratings trick you into thinking that any language is OK for young kids.)

"The classics were before my time" If something is recent, it's not a classic. I think by definition a classic is something that's respected after the passage of time and many other works to be compared to. In most endeavors, unless you're talking about video games, something that's regarded as being a classic is almost by definition from before everyone's time.
