What's for dinner Tuesday?

Had to go to VA with Harry today so I didn't feel much like cooking tonight. Luckily we have lots of leftovers. Tonight we'll have the chicken salad. I changed it up a bit by adding some curry powder. It actually tastes much better. We have some of Sunday's dessert leftover, too.

We didn't get any rain this afternoon. At least not yet. It rumbled for a while and the sky turned dark, but that has passed.

Hope you've had a more productive day than I have! What are you having for dinner tonight?

I just had some cottage cheese and some fresh strawberries plus iced tea to drink.

No productive day for me! Did nothing!

And a first time.

Went to Ms Myra's bbq for smoked chicken salad and they were OUT! Everyone wanted chicken salad today!

So went to Ixatapa for a la carte: shredded beef quesadilla

That sounds so good, terri! Actually, everyone's supper (or lunch) sounds good. Robert asked for oven baked chicken pieces again. I basted the legs and thighs with a doctored BBQ sauce (added tobacco and apple vinegar) for the first half, then made a glaze out of that plus apricot preserves. It is sooooooo good! Sweet, sour, and spicy. Also made a batch of cheese biscuits and my cole slaw. He was a happy man! I'm always glad when he actually asks for something in particular....he helps with supper, by the way. He likes kitchen duty.

We went to the club tonight to finish up our minimum since we leave for Florida on Saturday. DH had a half-price hamburger since it's half price night tonight and my friend and I had a small Caesar salad and an appetizer of risotto and wild mushrooms. Just a perfect size dinner. It was beautiful here todayÃ¢ÂÂ¦in the 70's. Played my first 18 holes of golf since November. Shot 103 which is not great but I didn't expect much since I haven't had a club in my hand since early November and I didn't even get over early enough to hit some balls. The putting wasn't so great either and that's the best part of my game. Just a taste of the good weather to come.

We're both off work the rest of the week. This morning, we did some shopping & I worked on the living room Christmas tree this afternoon & evening. We've settled in for the night to watch Sleepy Hollow (it's filmed near us!). For dinner, we had a salad (spinach, pears, Trader Joe's cranberry goat cheese, and blood orange vinaigrette) with French onion soup. We're having crazy weather. Sunday & Monday were clear but in the 40's. Today was in the low 70's & rainy. Tomorrow will be the same. Thursday is supposed to be back in the the 40's again.

Glenda, have fun with your boys! Chi83, I've seen a few soup recipes on Pinterest that used kale and beans. Nice combination---I could sub something else for the quinoa, I'm sure. Monica, yum! Bet your house smells so good. I imagine a lot of KT'ers will be looking for the key lime pie mix. Pam, you get more done in one day than 5 people! When I lived in IN I used to work the polls. It was nice when people brought us goodies since we couldn't leave the building from 5 a.m. until about 7 or 8 that night. I loved doing that! Shirley, after reading Pam's post I feel like I did nothing! Got more to do tomorrow. I'll be glad when tilapia tastes right again! Jasdip, I've read about those tomatoes too, but I thought they were really expensive. Glad you found out differently. I like Pomi brand tomatoes. They are imported from Italy and in a box like chicken broth comes in. The ingredient list is pretty short: tomatoes. :-) Mary, unfortunately I'm not finished with all the changes, but the list is getting short. :-) Grilled cheese sounds really good. Georgysmom, do you like your new closet? Was your DH surprised? Good luck at bridge!! Raven, hope that rain heads north instead of east. Spaghetti was always a winning dinner around here.

I am making smoked pork chops, navy beans, and tomato, Vidalia onions, and bell pepper vinaigrette salad, wish I had a cucumber to go in it.

Had to play a golf match today. We went 18 holes (thank goodness we didn't have to play extra holes) but I won. Yeah! I have duplicate bridge tonight so we are settling for leftover Chinese. It hit the spot tonight because I didn't get to eat anything but a hard-boiled egg for lunch since we didn't start playing golf until 11:15. I drank caffeine while out on the course to give me that extra added jolt since I rarely drink anything with caffeine. It worked. Let's hope whatever is in the system will carry me through the night. LOL

Patti-I will send you some of our rain. Lot of rain this afternoon & the winds were bad. Rain again tomorrow, if not we have to clean up branches before we go to work.
Hubby had fish & salad, I just had pasta

broiled pork chops, applesauce, tater tots and a huge salad...wow! real food!

Moo Shu Pork. I shredded cabbage, onion and carrots, minced some garlic and ginger. Sliced some boneless pork in thin strips.

Stir-fried everything in some sesame oil, and added hoisin and soy sauce. Spooned it onto some tortillas. It was delicious.

We're having the last of the rhubarb pie that I made yesterday.

Sue, that's what Harry has just about every day for lunch. Either cottage cheese or Greek yogurt with fruit.

Glenda, no chicken salad? Come on down, we have plenty. Not smoked chicken though. :-( The quesadilla sounds good too, though.

Raven, aren't the Valdalia's good and sweet this year? I ran out so they're on my grocery list. Haven't had smoked pork chops for a while, either. But I'm trying not to buy any meat until my freezer gets under control.

Georgysmom, congratulations on your golf win! Hope the streak lasts through your bridge game. You must be feeling better. Good!!!

Mary, I don't know where you live, but you sure get a lot of rain. Doesn't help in your business--well, maybe it does. Makes the grass grow, anyway!

Jeaninwa, LOL! Your real food sounds delicious and sounds like you are going to enjoy it a lot.

Jasdip, don't you just love the taste of sesame oil? I love the smell, too. It makes any stir-fry 100% better, IMHO. Wish I had your pie!
