What's for dinner Monday?

Beautiful weather! In the mid-70's today and sunny. all thaat rain sure greened things up.

We're having something new tonight called popover pizza. I also made my mother's recipe for French dressing. I remember loving it over tomatoes when I was young.

Wow, popover pizza!

Pool was canceled this morning due to cold weather!

Baha Burger for an awesome chili cheese burger on wheat!

Got a loaf of banana bread in oven and it smells so good.

Not for me, but for neighbor who did an act of kindess for me yesterday!

Pam, I love quiche and have leftover ham in the freezer. I should make one with ham, and onions, peppers and mushrooms. Hubby won't eat any hot cooked eggs, so it's me and my quiche. The last time I made hamburger rolls I posted a pic :) Cheri I love pot roast. I tend to make mashed potatoes on the side, instead of in the slow cooker. We like them that way better. Alice your dinner sounds great! We eat a fair bit of rice, just love it. Ellendi would you share your quinoa recipe on the Share your Recipe Thread???? We enjoy quinoa. That's the pits you had so much trouble finding the sriracha. Old Fixer, IS there such a thing as too much garlic? LOL Party, I was going to bake some sweet potatoes yesterday, but they are really small, so I mashed them along with white potatoes. We like them mixed. Matti, I've heard that In n Out burgers are good. Enjoy! Rhizo, we just had some homemade apple sauce that I took out of the freezer with a warm oatmeal-carrot muffin! Ellen chicken salad sounds delicious Shirley, Spanish rice sounds good. I make one version in the slow cooker, with ground beef. Sue, I like my fried egg sandwiches with tomato as well, and bacon when we have it. Kath, I used to like the Southwestern Salad from McD's. Haven't had one of them in a couple of years now. Raven, I love that skillet dish. One-dish meals are so handy. OF, as you said, frozen lasagna is way easier than making one from scratch! Pam you had what is the perfect steak dinner! Jim, veggie soup and lemon pudding! Yum! We're in for the high temps tomorrow as well with high humidity. 30C but feeling much hotter with the humidity.

We just finished watching the first episode of this season's Blacklist and thought I'd check back while setting up for Castle. Shirley, here's the recipe. Easy-peasy and delicious! Pam, you could have been here, as usual I made enough to feed at least 1 more person! Oven Ã¢ÂÂfriedÃ¢ÂÂ chicken Preparation time: 15 minutes Baking time: 20 to 25 minutes 1/3 cup dry unseasoned bread crumbs 2 teaspoons sesame seeds 1 1/2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup fat-free mayonnaise (not salad dressing mayonnaise) 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 2 dashes cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning 4 (4 ounces each) boneless, skinless chicken breast halves Cooking spray Preheat oven to 425ÃÂ°F. Place bread crumbs, sesame seeds, and Parmesan cheese in a large zip-top bag and shake gently to combine. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, salt, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and poultry seasoning. Using a pastry brush, coat both sides of each piece of chicken with the mayonnaise mixture. Place chicken, one piece at a time, into the bread crumb mixture in the zip-top bag, seal, and shake to coat chicken well. Transfer chicken to a foil-lined baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Spray chicken evenly with cooking spray. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until juices run clear and chicken is no longer pink in the center. Yield: 4 servings

We had leftovers from Mother's Day. I was not too hungry so I just had a grilled chicken thigh and a piece of my black raspberry pie. Had leftovers for lunch too. Glenda, well there is no popover pizza for dinner tonight. Got out the stuff for the popovers and Harry had used all the milk. I didn't even have any evaporated, darn it. So we're having leftover chicken/rice casserole from last night. I'll post the recipe after we've tasted it. The filling just tastes like spaghetti with meat sauce to me. Maybe I'll add some pepperoni to it. Hope you made your famous banana bread--it sure is famous at our house!

Raven, sounds good. What are you stuffing the mushrooms with?

Today was big grocery day, so stopped at Arby's for roast beef sandwiches. Allowed my inner kid to convince me to also buy their chocolate molten lava cake. (It needs more molten lava, too dry in my opinion.) So a sandwich and cake was my evening meal.

Well it stopped raining early this morning, since Fri. night. We do not need any more rain. For dinner it was bacon cheeseburgers with lettuce & tomato, my dinner was bacon hamburgers. Long day at work.

We had another warm, sunny day today. Did some garden work and took my sister shopping, went to the library. I had my sister and 2 grandsons for dinner: rib eye steak, lobster tails (just 2 of us), corn and potato salad. Brownies for dessert. A very satisfying day. Sorry about your milk Patti! Glenda, I can't believe my weather is warmer than yours!

Chicken baked with garlic/basil/Greek yogurt, baked sweet potatoes, kale for me and green beans for Mr. Wonderful.

Shirley, I have to do our shopping tomorrow afternoon and VA for Harry's INR test in the morning. May pick something up on the way home. Thanks for the idea (not that I'd need a lot of urging or anything)!

Mary, you might know it'd stop raining after your days off were over! Hmmph!! I'd love a big juicy hamburger--and the bacon just puts it over the top!

Pam, that sounds delicious. Lucky sister!! Yeah, the milk was kind of a bummer! You sure got a lot done today.

Carol, I bet your house smelled wonderful. I'm with you--I love kale.

We had leftover steak and salad. The steak was as good as it was the first time. Patti, what is your recipe for the dressing over tomatoes?

Went to Bonefish tonight with the ladies. Had my usual mussels Josephine. Soooo good. We went to see 42 today. Very good movie.

georgysmom, my male friend was in 42, as a local standin. He had a ball with the filming of 42. He's our celebrity :o) His only script was " excuse me" lol
