We had PLENTY rain last night, and recently, which has caused the lake levels to rise. At son's place, the lake is already 2 feet above its normal summer level. And it's not even summer.

We had leftover pizza from the pizza we had last night at Partner's Pizza. Almost as good the second time around.

Rained all night & stopped around 12 noon. Was able to get a lot of paper work done & started sewing new covers for the old glider on the porch. Made a big batch of spag. sauce today, as the freezer was getting low.. Dinner was parmesan chicken with spaghetti, just spaghetti for me. Garlic bread too. For dessert I made gingerbread cake with fresh whipped cream. The weather man said no rain for a few days but the HEAT is on the way-I need to move to Alaska.

Had a BIG breakfast and a BIG lunch...so I'm going to copy YOU Patti....:0)

I have not even thought about what I will eat. Waiting for the race to start. Then going out on my big rig and may take Alyssa for some rides with Cheryl.

I cooked several things yesterday and today. I chose to have Porcupines, gravy over top of my potato, and green beans. It was very good.

Too hot and humid already here in Ohio. I just am not ready to turn on the ac yet.

Went on a garden tour today and then out to lunch with the ladies. The gardens were beautiful and lunch was good. Didn't really feel like dinner but alas, DH needed to be fed. Tried a new recipe tonight for sausage pasta. It was tasty but not really to die for. If I decide to make again, it will be because it was so easy and I'm still getting tired very easily. By the time I came home, I was really really weary.

Glenda, it is the time of year for all sorts of festivals here, too. They are tapering off, though. It was 90 degrees here today. I mainly stayed in! We didn't get any rain :-(

Linda, my daughter loved leftover pizza--better than the first day. She particularly liked it cold for breakfast. Enjoy!

Mary, you got a lot accomplished today! I imagine your DH was happy with the chicken parmesan--and especially the gingerbread. Funny, I was thinking of gingerbread this afternoon.

LOL, Nicole. Hope you enjoyed yours as much as we did ours. Never thought about making a gravy out of the sauteed mushrooms/onion. What a good idea!

Sue, after all that baking you did today, I'm not surprised you haven't had time to think of dinner. Have fun with Alyssa!!

Shirley, I wonder if I have any porcupines in the freezer? I just love those things. I was making them pretty often, but I think Harry got burned out on them. Sure sounds good! I've had the air on, well off and on, for about a month. I need to sleep cool.

Georgysmom, I've never read or heard of any garden tours around here. Of course, most of our flowers bloom in the cooler months for the most part. Better get some rest and let those antibiotics do their work.

We had a yard sale today. When the original landlady passed on last spring, her daughter inherited the building.

All of her mom's stuff was cleaned out of the apartment, and put in boxes in the garage. Today was the sale, and we helped out.
It actually turned out pretty good.

I forewarned our landlady that people come well before the posted start time. Sure enough, we were taking stuff out at 7 and there were people coming, even though she said it was to start at 8:30. She was stunned.

She brought pizzas in for lunch and we cleaned up the leftovers and they're destined for Valu Village.

Dinner for us was pancakes and ham. Hubby is now munching on a bowl of HoneyComb. LOL

Jasdip, I think I'd rather have a root canal than a garage sale. They are really a lot of work. Probably the most money I made at one was when people came early and I didn't have the boxes unpacked yet. Some people offered to help me--haha! They wanted first pick. They were buying things out of those boxes faster than I could open them.

I cooked some cabbage with sausage that I buy at the local farm stand. I have always liked sausage okay, but this is so good....better than any I've had before. It's expensive, but worth it.

We were out shopping and decided to go to Dickey's bbq and I had the rib plate, it was great.

we had lasagna, thick, cheesy texas garlic toast and a tossed salad. no dessert, too full!!! :)
