Mine was automatically deposited into my checking account this morning!

I'm waiting!

Mine will probably be next week. My last 2 digits are big ones. Almost the max.
Good for you Patti. I'm glad it came for you.

I've heard lots of talk about these cheques you guys are getting, can I ask a question? Does the money just come off next year's tax refund? So if you were going to get a refund of say $3000 next year and this year you get a cheque for $1000, do you only get $2000 next year? Just curious.

And what if your taxable income changes over the year and next year you don't get a refund, would that mean you would have to pay back this cheque?

casey...no. It has nothing to do with refunds, and does not have to be paid back in any way.

I think ours is due next week. Happy Day. Casey I just wonder what comes next. Better grab the money and run while you can.

We aren't due to get ours until the middle of June, and it will be a paper check rather than direct deposit.

Wow, so the government is just giving out free money? I am shocked! LOL

I got mine deposited a couple weeks ago.

Pattico--if you filed jointly, it should have been one check, but with BOTH your rebates. Ours turned up in our checking account this week. One deposite of $1200--$600 for DH, $600 for me. And I didn't work last year and haven't so far this year.

Mind you, I immediately wrote myself a check for $1200, and transferred it to a different account (in my name, solo). Of course, that was with Dh's permission, and it's the account we'll be using to buy the retirement home. Which I'm pretty much funding on my own, he's just going to pay for the utilities, if we get one.

Does it depend on how much you made?? Dh thought we would get 1200 also since we file jointly. He's retired from the Marine corps ,and we both get SS,as well as a small retirement check for me.We got it yesterday and it was just 600.00.He was dissappointed,i told him it's better than nothing and money we really didn't expect, before all this stimulus bru ha ha.

Yes, it does depend on income. From what i've seen, unless you have measurable investment income outside of SS, the rebate is $300/ea.
