My vote would be to do a pass on the middle one in an island as too visually obtrusive even if not extremely tall, pass on the first one which isn't the sleeker transitional style you're looking for, and go for something like the third, which is discretely elegant and unfussy and would look nice without grabbing the eye. Although many will disagree, in my entire life I've never seen a faucet worthy of being a focal point and also strongly suspect those higher and ever higher-arcing faucets are a fashion that will pass more quickly than most.

I personally like #2, but #3 is more transitional and less of a focal point. #1 is too traditional for what you describe.

#2 for looks for what you describe.

However, I would research it regarding function. Have you seen it in a showroom? Do a set-up at a showroom. I took my sink to the showroom! lol

Thanks for the advice. I love the fact that others on here can see things with a different eye then I do. I am terrible at visualization. :) My problem is that I love everything. LOL I just have to be sure to match my kitchen!I do love clean, sleek lines and the 3rd one offers that.

lynw, The first one is a Delta Saxony. faucetdirect.com is the best price, several finishes. My Lowes had it in stock to look at. Second one is Kohler, Avatar and 3rd is Blanco.

I like the first one but for what you described I would choose #2. Personally I love my faucet and I think faucets are the jewelry of a kitchen. Have you considered a pull-down instead of a pull-out. I just think they are much more comfortable.

Whoosh, We don't have a showroom here that has the Kohler Avatar set up and I can't seem to find any posters here doing my search that has the faucet,haven't asked plumbers opinion yet. That is next.

mlraff, In my mind I had always imagined pulldowns to be more comfrtable but I can't find one that isn't really tall. What kind of faucet do you have?

ok, so it looks like you want a pull out/down sprayer.

i don't like #1 because of the mounting plate. i don't like #3 because it has a dated 80's look. and i do think (without seeing the rest of your kitchen) that #2 looks too modern.

i do very much like the fairfax and lynn in nm's faucet that were linked above. i think that by keeping the profile slim, and staying with just one hole in your counter, the height tends to be less overwhelming.

you should look for a one-hole single lever pull down that suits your style. i think you'd do well with either of the two examples that the others linked.

I have a side spray but only because I fell in love with the Delta Victorian and it wasn't available in a pull down. I still grab my side spray upside down though. Mine is way too traditional for you. I think edlakin got it right. I would prefer height but sleek and slim.

My sink is in my island which is very open to my family room. I chose Moen Waterhill with the single handle. Mine is tall, but if you get a finish that blends, it will look great. I chose the ORB to go with my tropic brown granite, black cast iron sink, and black island. Big change from my white island with navy formica, but I love it! HTH!

I confess to liking shiny, pretty things. Generally speaking, I don't care for fussy faucets with lots of nooks that can accumulate junk. I like this for low-key transitional-modern.

Thanks, to everyone for all the helpful advice. I finally made the decision and WHEW was it a long one. I know when the kitchen is done all the little details won't be as intense as they are looking at them all individually vs. being a part of a larger picture. I really am attracted to the taller faucets but just felt that the space was better suited to a lower faucet.

I chose # 3 the Classic Blanco. It feels just right!!!! Now I can't wait for it to get here so I can play with it. :)
