I think she's a very talented individual who also has developmental problems and doesn't know how to deal with being in the spotlight for the first time in her life.

I figure the media attention that she has gotten would mess up anybody's mind and especially somebody who's been as seemingly sheltered and withdrawn as she's been.

I'm not a fan of hers but I use the F word sometimes and I don't think any less of myself, ;~)

They said that the source is The Sun, which to me reminds me of the National Enquirer. Not saying that it's not true, but there's a chance that not all of the facts are in place.

I also read that a tabloid newspaper was "pushing her buttons" and she cussed at them. The police escorted the photographers out of the hotel.

What do I think of her? I think she is one of the most talented individuals to grace this planet. Her voice is pure and she doesn't pretend to be something she isn't. She can also give one heck of a "live" performance. Unlike today's "stars" who have to rely on backup dancers and singers to distract the audience from their lack of talent and their lipsyncing.

Just because she is a simple woman doesn't mean that she is genuine and down to earth. We don't know if she is nice or not.
I'm just playing devils advocate here. I know nothing at all about her except she has a good voice. People are making a lot of asumptions about her and they may or may not be correct.

She's just a normal person. That anazing voice is her gift from God. We all have gifts.

That was probably the goal of the antagonizers. I don't think any less of her, in fact I'm glad she stood up to the media.. even if it wasn't her usual prim and proper self.

I think Susan Boyle is like every other human on the face of the earth. She has a breaking point. Everybody has one. If they provoked her to the point of using the "f" word, well, that's just what happened. I think she has a wonderful talent and I hope she becomes a huge star and makes enough money to do whatever she likes. What she said certainly doesn't change my opinion of her. I'm nobody to judge anybody. I wouldn't want that responsibility!!

They probably kept at her till she did give them some sh*t, and then dropped the F bomb. Not a big deal. I still think she's very very talented.

The media can be real jerks. And papparazi are even worse, doing anything for a chance at the almighty dollar. I have no idea of her character or her stability, but I know how awful the media can be. It may be just too much for any person. Moreover, with so many newspapers in financial trouble these days, their moral guidelines have slipped even further and I think they could be a real cross to bear for her.

My opinion on her God given talent certainly isn't going to change because she cussed. I cuss too when I am frustrated. I still think she has the voice of an angel.

I think it reflects on the media people who were tormenting her. She's unsophisticated and has a learning disability, and they don't care what they put her through as long as they get a story. It's disgusting.

In England that word doesn't have quite as strong a sound as it does in the US.

That being said, we think she's terrific and don't care if she swears.

The pressure is obviously getting to her. I wonder how I would do if my world were suddenly turned upside down that way. Apparently she was being baited by the press, they were trying to get a reaction and they did. Good for her for standing up to them! BGT has spirited her away and put her in hiding until the performance.

How do you know that she doesn't always use the F then in that case it wouldn't be a bomb it could be that she is a normal person who gets frustrated with the way media covers/hovers her.It's just a word. Now if she was throwing hand grenades I would probably change my mind, but until that happens I will continue to listen to her amazing voice.

I'm with Donna, she is most probably not really like the media has portrayed her to be or even how she herself has portrayed her to be - somehow she has always had a 'manufactured' quality, to me anyway.

If I decided that I dind't like anyone who had ever dropped that particular bomb, I would be very lonely, indeed. As a matter of fact, I'd have to drop myself! ;)

Does it matter? She has a wonderful voice. Frank Sinatra was no saint but could sing. Caruso was no model of decorum, but had a magnificent voice. Maria Callas sang as few others could, but lived a life of selfish hedonism. We value the performer for the performance, not for what goes on off-stage.

The language doesn't bother me a bit, but there's something about her that never seemed quite genuine to me. The first time I thought that was when I saw the original clip of her surprising performance. That part was great, but the bumps and grinds that followed didn't seem all that compatible with her "simple Scottish village maiden" persona. Ditto all the wiggles and jiggles she's done since.

And what innocent announces her virginity right off the bat?

I don't pretend to know much about Susan Boyle. But at this point I'm guessing she could have some success as a recording artist (until the world remembers that they hardly ever listen to Broadway show tunes), but as a hero she just might disappoint. We shall see......

She has a learning disability? I didn't know that - did that come out somewhere? I just thought she was not sophisticated.
